We had the good fortune of connecting with Bella Crimson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bella, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
There are two special factors that keep me inspired to do what I do and never give up. Those things are my purpose and my friends. Since I was a child, I’ve always had this feeling that I was meant to do more than a regular life. I’ve always had BIG dreams that involved helping others in some way. It started off with wanting to be doctor, then went off to wanting to be a cop, and finally a creative. A creative that will tell the stories of people that are being ignored. A creative that will bring truth to light, that will show appreciation to true talent and not by societal criteria. Someone who can motivate another aspiring creative to keep going because if I can do it, they can do it. Then we have my friends. My magical friends whom inspire me all the time. We all have our own life struggles and to see what they create out of it is incredibly motivating. They don’t just create content to create. It has to mean something; it has to tell a story and the stories are extraordinary. To be surrounded by genuine beings who create love and magic from real life pushes me to keep going and also be grateful for the life I’ve been given. There is love to be spread and magic to make with the life I’ve been given. I wouldn’tve understood that if it weren’t for my friends.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I believe that what sets myself and my Collective apart from others is that we aren’t afraid to do what everyone else isn’t doing. We aren’t afraid to think outside the box. We aren’t afraid to be different. We aren’t afraid to do what’s hard or what may be deemed “impossible” to most. We are brilliant as a whole and individually. For example, I had wrote, directed, and starred in my short film that gave a different view on drug addicts. I see all the time, in real life and even in most movies how drug addicts are portrayed as trash and a waste a life. With my short film, I wanted to show that they’re still human and they just really need someone to be there for them and believe that they deserve better. They need someone who wont give up on them because it’s hard. We are willing to create concepts that haven’t been done or have been but get overlooked. We’re making noise and although its already happening; its going to be real hard to drown us out. I am most excited about the success that we’re going to have and honestly having a budget that will make it easier for us to create our visions in a higher caliber. Nothing about my journey to professionally doing what I do was easy in any shape, way or form. Theres been a lot of crying, pain, life lessons, internal fighting, sleepless nights, starvation and healing involved. Every day, even as a professional is still hard but a journey worth going through. Understanding that my purpose is bigger than me has always been able to push me to overcome everything or at least push through it until im ready to deal with it. The biggest lesson of all is BE TRUE TO YOURSELF. Los Angeles and the Industry will do everything to try to change you and make you conform to the values and beliefs that everyone else is moving towards. As i look around and constantly see others live and do things because they were told its the way to go or its how things are done and they seem so reluctant but they do it because theyre afraid or want what they think will be the reward after doing so; none of that is what i desire. Knowing who you are and what you’re about is a true gem and thats one thing I promise to remind myself and others as much as i possibly can. What I want the world to know about myself and my Collective is we are creatives who support and appreciate others creatives. We love to help make visions come to life. We are genuine people who put everything we have into our work. We will give you love, truth, pain, magic and acceptance. Anyone who has ever worked with RNS has nothing but great things to say about us and i can confidently say its because if your project means everything to you, then it means everything to us. You will get our blood, sweat and tears and you wont regret it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend from home was visiting and covid wasn’t a thing there would be a few of my favorite spots that I’d have to take them to. I would take them to the Federal Bar in Noho on Thursday. That’s where I would go to have a few drinks with my crew and dance to Throwback music that I grew up with. We go every Thursday and its always a great time. Also the people that work there have become family so the comfort level is high. El Tejano’s in Noho is another favorite. I spent two of my birthdays there, which were amazing and some random nights out. There’s great Mexican food, fun music, everything is affordable and theres fun games to play there too. Checking out Venice or Santa Monica or both would be a must. They have to have the Pier experience and i love how Venice is filled with so many different types of people all the time so I think that’s be a cool thing to see. If they’re feeling very touristy, I’d bring them to the Walk of Fame, Griffith and on the hike close to the Hollywood Sign. Im a pretty big homebody so thats pretty much all I do unless its a fun random experience like doing an escape room or going on a day trip somewhere.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I would love to shoutout the Universe for all the lessons and everything that would’ve made anyone crumble but instead it pushed and strengthened me in the end. I would also love to shoutout my RNS Collective family. We make things happen together and theres so much I couldn’tve done without them whether it was a creative thing or a human thing. Lastly, I would also love to give a shoutout to myself for not giving up on myself. There had been many times where I’ve thought about it and I easily couldve but I didn’t and I’m grateful to have been strong enough not to.
