We had the good fortune of connecting with Je’Nalta McCullum and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Je’Nalta, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind success for me was me staying true to myself and what I like to do so I always just wanna make sure I’m being my true self and bringing in my ideas and not letting outside forces or wanting to please others change how I feel about what I’m doing or what I’m creating.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from other artists like me or similar is That I’m with me they can look at the same set of references or listen to the same song as me and get two completely different pictures in two completely different artwork styles,And to me it’s really important to stay true to who I am and what I envisioned when I’m creating. I’m really excited about a comic book that me and my husband are coming out with it’s a long process and we can working on it for over three years we have the first draft of the first book ready it’s just hard when it’s just two people but we are really excited still to come out with something that we are really proud of. Professionally I would say I am still working on getting to where I want to be, a lot of the things that I’ve learned like about copywriting has just been a Google search away certain things they don’t teach you in college when you want to become digital artist but some stuff you gotta learn on the way over in a class room only. It was a lot of work learning on your own because you basically have to look for what you don’t know. But at the same time very rewarding because once you figure it out it’s even better because you did it on your own. The biggest lesson I feel that I’ve learned while trying to build company from the ground up is research research research that is the most important thing you have to know what you’re doing andAlways be open to learning more about what you don’t know. Anything I want the world to know about my brand Parisian Inc. is that I take a lot of pride in doing what I do every art piece every custom logo is something that I’m really passionate and then I took my time and patience to make sure it’s perfect it and is exactly the vision that the customer wanted or what I saw in my mind.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly if my best friend was visiting we would go to LA there’s really nothing in Barstow other than Route 66 it’s a pretty old-school town so they’re not too up-to-date or hip with what’s going on If we were in LA pre-Covid we would probably go to the beach or the dog park that’s one of my favorite places to go because I am a big big dog fan, We would definitely walk the Hollywood strip and get a street hotdog something about buying those hotdogs are just better than trying to make them on your own I always look for a rainbow umbrella.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Oh there’s many people were supportive in my journey but definitely my husband Rodney McCollum was my biggest supporter and my best friend Brianna Diaz they always push me to keep going even when I didn’t want to do a drawing or be created
