Meet Linda Nguyen: VP of Community Relations, 360 Clinic

We had the good fortune of connecting with Linda Nguyen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Linda, what do you attribute your success to?
Being open to learn from others. Admitting what I don’t know expanded my knowledge base as my network shared their experiences with failure along with their successes. I asked questions to further develop my understanding in areas where I was not well versed. Being vulnerable allowed me to let others into my life to help me where I needed a little uplifting. In the end, we all rise together as we support one another.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love that each work day is unpredictable. Despite a daily task list to keep me organized, the last minute requests thrown my way keeps me creative in finding immediate solutions. While this schedule and lifestyle isn’t for those who enjoy a set start and end time to their day, I thrive in a start-up environment where everyone dives in to scale the business. Everyone is accountable for their own roles yet ask for help when needed. I got to where I am by continually giving with no expectations in return. People see your value and worth when you treat every opportunity as a mutual relationship rather than a transaction.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d take my friend on a journey through this melting pot called Orange County. Monday I’d let her settle in on her first day and order take out from a local restaurant of her choice to enjoy at home while catching up over cocktails and conversation. Tuesday lunch at Pacific City, a little shopping in the area, a walk down to the beach, Huntington Beach’s Surf City Nights on Main St. and ending it with a stop into Sushi on Fire for a Hello Kitty hand roll. Wednesday will be Koreatown for some tofu soup and Korean BBQ. Thursday she gets to enjoy The Recess Room’s Tiki Thursdays. Friday I’d take her to Downtown Disney for some cocktails at Uva Bar & Cafe and beignets at Jazz Kitchen while soaking in the Disney environment. Saturday is Downtown Santa Ana to experience the creative arts environment, stop into a restaurant for a bite, and drop into another spot for a cocktail. And we will end the week on Sunday in Little Saigon for some dim sum at Seafood Cove 2 in Westminster and then walk across the street to the Asian Mall for a cup of sugarcane drink while browsing the shops. Of course we’ll throw in a hike and some more shopping at Irvine Spectrum, South Coast Plaza, or Fashion Island into the mix.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My “community brothers and sisters” know who they are. They all deserve credit for my accomplishments and successes along with shaping me into the woman I am today. They supported me with words of encouragement, as mentors and believers in my capabilities, by placing me in out-of-the-box opportunities that would expand my skill sets, and by simply being role models as I watch them humbly and professionally carry themselves on a day-to-day basis.
