We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmyne Mangum and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmyne, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Equality. To me personally it’s one of the most powerful pieces about life. The moment you remove that equality component it creates chaos. Gender, race, religion and age are just a few examples that affect the worlds equality today. Growing up I wasn’t always treated the same as my peers, so as I grew I knew I wanted to make a difference. I created a family-based brand that values equality and the uniqueness of every age, every race and every person. My products are customizable, and we have natural products for everyone. I want everyone to feel good about themselves not only looking in the mirror but also the blessing of just existing. Life is such a beautiful thing and when people are treated equally it makes life that much better.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
If you follow my social media pages I am blessed and thankful to have so many talents and hobbies. I am a twin, a mom, a business owner, a personal trainer, I skate, I sing, I draw, I dance, I paint, I act, I love making crafts, I love adventures like hiking, rock climbing, kayaking pretty much anything that will get me out the house since I work from home. I also still have a full time job where I am the Insurance Coordinator for a huge Dental company. When I am not working, I am working on my business. I got pregnant with my daughter in 2017 and instantly started making skincare and hair care products in my kitchen. I knew I wanted to live a healthier life and give the same to my daughter. It has not been easy, especially being a single mother and paying for everything myself. When I face challenges I just think about my daughter and how much more I can push for her. She keeps me going. I’ve learned that if you don’t invest in yourself, how can you expect someone else to?

My name is Jasmyne Mangum and I am the owner and founder of Born Again Essence LLC. Socially known as B.A.E! Born Again Essence is a family based company that focuses on overall health from your head to your toes, internally and externally. This includes mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health for adults and children. When I hear the word “bae” I think of someone who is strong, powerful, beautiful, peaceful and unique. Becoming Bae was a journey for me and will always be a journey that I don’t want to end. I want everyone to feel like Bae and embrace the best version of themselves. I found out that the best version of yourself is just being you. Coming terms with yourself that you are not perfect and will never be, but learning to accept that and forget about what people think of you. That’s Bae, Bae is an example. Bae is a statement. I am B.A.E

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When one of my friends come to visit we always have two plans. Plan 1 normally consist of us being too exhausted to do anything cause were all moms, so we’ll end up laying on the couch, watching lifetime movie classics with some wine while napping here and there. Plan 2 consist of us stepping out on the scene. We’ll go shopping and pick out our outfits the week before. We’ll get breakfast + mimosas at spot called “Another Broken Egg Café”. Then we’ll probably go shopping for dinner fits. After that if were feeling adventurous we’ll go to the beach, hiking, a trail or lake. Anything outdoors. We may go wine tasting before dinner, that makes everything funny. We like trying new restaurants so the last place we went for the first time was “Ruth’s Chris Steak House”. We also like taking our lunch dates to “Dame’s Chicken and Waffles”. After dinner we would come back home and throw a mini party with just the three of us. Lots of silly videos/memories and lots of laughs! Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This shoutout goes out to my 3 year old daughter Jordyn! I would not be here today without you. This whole business is based from you. You grew me and showed me love like never before. You teach me how to live life to the fullest, patience, understanding and forgiveness. Thank you for saving my life.
