We had the good fortune of connecting with Ava Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ava, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting Arts film & Goods Pantry was simply to serve underprivileged youths throughout Los Angeles. As well as promote foster care awareness

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m excited and most proud to Serve foster youths in surrounding areas of Los Angeles with food goods, school supplies, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, clothing, art supplies and outreach resources to help them thrive in the right direction.

I believe I got to where I got to today by choosing God’s plan over my own. Surrounding myself with great influencers. Being purposeful and passionately driven. It’s never easy but I had witnessed too much to quit! Too many people believed in me and invested their time in me. The communities needed me.

Perseverance definitely plays a major role in it all. Many things will work against you when you are changing the lives of others and breaking generational curses. It feel lonely, unbearable to push forward at times, you gotta have faith, keep a heart of gratitude and trust the process.

Lessons I’ve learned along the way was patience and that everything is in divine order.

I am now on a global journey to bring Victorious stories ahead featuring foster youths.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them horse back riding in the Hollywood hills. It’s one of my favorite things to do.

We would eat at my favorite restaurants Blaqhaus, Taco Mell, The court cafe, Greek food in the car talking about life while staring at Mountain View’s,

A favorite of mine is finding as many art murals over the city as I can.

We would go to Venice and Malibu Beach, We would have Car karaoke throughout the entire city lol.

I love Museums we would go to art museums. Echo Park is another favorite place of mine here in Los Angeles.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am honored to and will always shoutout these people in all I do. They may get tired of me mentioning their names (laughs) but they changed my life, they brought me inspiration, believed in me, supported me, shared opportunities with me. and I want to thank them for reaching back. They have fueled my passion and I’m forever grateful for these selfless great people.
