We had the good fortune of connecting with Ana Sofia Fehn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ana Sofia, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be in front of people—acting, dancing, whatever I could do. I love to make people laugh, to take them on an emotional journey through the characters I play. However, as I have gotten older my passion for acting has evolved even more so. There is a social responsibility to use my creative career for good, especially with the widespread reach movies, TV shows, podcasts, and other forms of media have. Acting is story telling, and the ability to tell stories that move others, that inspire, that educate, that is my goal.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I studied acting at the USC School of Dramatic Arts, partaking in school productions, student films, and frequent rehearsals for a variety of classes.

When I moved to LA, I also started auditioning outside of school, initially being cast in several commercials. However, I know my passion is story telling in the form of TV, movies, new media, and Theatre. I landed a role in Modern Family a year later, and was cast for a movie filming in Europe in the coming months (Covid permitting).

I am the most proud of how I am able to be so vulnerable in front of audiences. The ability to make others think deeply about a subject, or to be transported to another world, or even just feel inspired is why I continue to work on my craft.

Nothing about the entertainment industry is easy. It’s quite the opposite. You hear more “No’s” then you ever thought you would. It is so easy to compare yourself to other people and tear yourself apart. However, nothing good in life comes easy. The relentless pursuit of acting has taught me to persevere even when the odds are not in my favor.
