We had the good fortune of connecting with Gisela Rocha and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gisela, how does your business help the community?
Our mission helps the world, our values uplift our community. UnTamed Natural Care is 100% plant based and 90% vegan, we’re eco friendly in that almost all our products come in reusable glass containers or recycled & reusable plastic. By end of year we hope to be 100% plastic free! We’re also certified cruelty free by Leaping Bunny, no animal testing here. During the year we run campaigns where the proceeds go to certain causes and also donate products to organizations as well. Most recently we ran Suds for A Cause which donated proceeds from soap sales to Su Casa, A Domestic Violence Shelter in Long Beach. We’ve contributed to everything from Habitat to Humanity to Kids in Cages, BLM and other nonprofit organizations. We may be a small business but giving back has been in our DNA since day one.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
UnTamed products are out here debunking the myth that green beauty is exclusive and over priced. Our communities have been offered cheap and harmful ingredients, packaged in tons of plastic and tested on all kinds of animals. No, those days are long gone. We CAN have clean and safe products that are good for our families and the earth without hurting animals. That’s were the UnTamed promise of accessibility comes in, we are making green beauty more affordable and inclusive.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Let’s grab our morning coffee at our local Coffee Nutz then head to Corkey’s for some Breakfast. We can walk off breakfast with a morning stroll along the Pacific Electric Trail then head out to any of our local farmers markets. In the afternoon we can take a little drive out to Vital Pomona for some shopping and tea and our way back home hit Joey’s BBQ for that good good.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Any success, just even being in business for 3 years is owed to my community, my customers. The ones who show up to events even when its raining just to come shop at my booth, The ones who repost my content over and over. The ones who buy my products and gift them to their friends and family to spread the word about UnTamed. That’s who my backbone has been, they are my inspiration to create and my motivation to hustle.
