Meet Chris Anthony | Photographer & Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Anthony and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chris, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
No matter what venture you take on in life, at some point you’ll inevitably run into this question of whether to keep going or to give up. After years of experience and trial and error, it ultimately comes down to why you’re taking on the process you are contemplating continuing or quitting, and is it a process you’re willing to suffer through. Every skill, occupation and goal has a process. Choose which process you are willing to endure and learn to fall in love with that process.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a photographer that shoots digital and film photography. My style and what I’m best at is street photography. I love traveling to new cities around the world, walk down random streets and capture people in their daily lives. I co-own a photography company, Auburn Ct. Media, which specializes in weddings, live events and portrait photography. What I am most proud of is a journey and blog I started three years back called, 100 Stories 100 Paths, where I interview people from all walks of life, in hopes to learn something from their perspective and listen to their life stories. In this process I learned there is no such thing as an insignificant person.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite places to bar hop is in Downtown Los Angeles. I would take a friend to some of my favorite spots such as: Las Perlas for mezcal cocktails, Cole’s and the Standard. You can’t visit LA without trying In-n-Out and tacos. Ave 26 taco stand and King taco are only few of my favorite spots. Salsa and Beer in the Valley is awesome as well. I would take a visiting friend on a road trip from San Francisco down the coast to San Diego.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Gerardo “Caveman” Robayo Jr. also simply known as “Jr.” has been a monumental inspiration and mentor for me when it comes to photography and other aspects of life. A true artist and visionary that continues to honor his crafts and inspires others to do the same. @damn.caveman David L. Rivera, Cinematographer and owner of Driven Films has given me a lot of support, knowledge and network connections.
