We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrien Myles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adrien, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
The best career choice is a career that chooses you. Ever since I was a child, I emulated the behavior of a sponge. I am a vigilant observer. I pick up on everything and I am distinctly meticulous. My interest for so many vastly different fields has always been an internal conflict. I feel like there are so many careers that I can find incredible success in, but each day when I wake up, I know that my gift for music is my purpose in this world. I can’t help but to create. I more than love to sing. I have the mind of an artist and my unconventional ways will flourish sensationally and most accurately in my unconventional career as a music artist. I believe that we as humans should chase our wildest dreams and that stipulation and circumstance are often the enemies that prevent us from doing the impossible. I, too, come from an unimaginable place of struggle but I had a dream and when I ran into an opportunity, that’s exactly what I did and I never looked back.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am Adrien Myles. I am a Singer/Songwriter living in Los Angeles, California and music is my entire life. At an early age, I discovered my passion for singing and creating music. I spend each and every day studying my music library and using my receptive skills to constantly develop into a better artist. I grew up in Chicago, Il where I got my start as a performer. Throughout my adolescent years, I was addicted to the chorale programs at the various schools I attended. I fell in love with the stage and have been performing ever since. During my career as an adult entertainer, I’ve been so fortunate for the opportunity to tour the world on various cruise ships while living my dream as an entertainer. As the COVID-19 pandemic began to emerge, my career, like many others, took a significant turn. I spent all of my time writing music and exploring my artistry on an entirely different level. I took pen to paper and wrote my own music. Influenced by many great artists, I found my own sound. I became my own record label, I booked the studio, assembled my team, and released multiple records that I am so proud of. My current single, “Long Time (For Your Love) [feat. Shanice Antonia]” is a piece of work that has changed me in many ways. Now playing on iHeart Radio, AfterGlow morning show is blasting this record out to their audience and I am so grateful for their platform. Overcoming challenges is both important and satisfying because nothing is ever easy. Throughout my life, I’ve experienced abuse, love, poverty, riches, sickness, health, and every antonym in-between. Perseverance, humility, and gratitude are the reasons why I succeed.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Alright, so I’m new to LA but since I’ve been in town, I’ve found a few spots that I totally dig. For one, I LOVE Mexican food; tacos to be specific. Two places that I would fully recommend are Leo’s Taco Truck (multiple locations) and the incredible Petty Cash in West Hollywood. Deeeelish. I love driving during the daytime with the top down and the sun beaming on my face – through the hills with stunning views.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
For the Shouout series, I would love to dedicate a shoutout to an incredible member of my production team. I recently moved to Los Angeles and as a music creator, it is imperative to have a phenomenally talented and hard-working team. In a very short time here, I was gifted with the chance to be paired with Mo Shakray during my recording sessions. She is now my go-to sound engineer here in LA. So often, and notoriously in the music industry, men tend to hold a very dominate role. It is so important to give power and credit to women who play a crucial part in the success of this industry. Mo Shakray has a creative mind and she works very hard to maintain her exclusive list of clients by providing excellent results. The spotlight should always include what happens behind the scenes and she is more than deserving of credit where it’s due.
