We had the good fortune of connecting with Antonello Stornelli and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Antonello, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Balance between life and work has always been a priority for me. Growing up in Italy where work is important, but we grow up learning that we don’t live to work but we work to live, it’s always been clear to me how I would live my life. Extremely ambitious and curious about the world since I was very young I have always been able to find my right balance. I have to admit, depending on the job or project I prioritize work occasionally but being an artist, work to me is fun most of the time.
In perspective I can tell that my 20s and 30s were balanced but focused d on building constantly my path, now I just turned 40 I can relax and just let it unfold and see where it goes.
For sure, I have more fun and enjoy my life more now than before and I am always included, luckily, in fun ambitious projects.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a 3d artist who grew up drawing and drawing, since I was born non stop. Early realized I loved technology and computers and that pushed me to be a digital artist right away and easily a 3d artist after.
Because of my love for technology it’s always been easy for me to be interested in learning new software and techniques.
That’s essential to my job when every month there is an update or a brand new software to learn again. It’s not easy but you have to keep your brain trained to allow that.
The biggest lesson I have learned, but I also apply that to the every day life is, have fun and be balanced.
Work, learn but also live and have fun since your mental health and balance is an essential drive to your productivity.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I grew up in Rome but lived most of my adult life in Los Angeles. I love this place because it really matches my personality. Big, sunny and constantly changing.
When friends come we always have a stop at disneyland and the usual Hollywood sites and hikes.
What I think it’s attractive though is sharing our life style, private parties and pool time.

Living in the valley we always prioritize this area or the beach like Paradise Cove in Malibu.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My italian family because they allowed me to grow up following my heart and passion and stayed close to me even if I live on the other side of the planet. My American family, that helped me becoming the man and the artist I am now.
