We had the good fortune of connecting with Trinity Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trinity, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The absolute most important thing to bring yourself success, and keep that success is to constantly communicate with your audience. I keep up my engagement especially on social media by responding to every comment, reposting stories that promote my music, and interact with their posts. People want to feel like they’re a part of a community, which is one of the biggest reasons fandom in entertainment is so strong. If you make that connection with your audience, they’ll feel like they’re a part of a supportive community. Then, you’ll have a consistent community to support you.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a singer/songwriter. I’ve noticed a lot of people get into this to business for the wrong reasons, for fame or notoriety. I try to help others through my music, I try not to do things for selfish reasons but to make myself and others happy. My next single coming out in September is a Spanish English song geared towards the majority of my younger fans ages 9-17 called Tú Misma which is about loving yourself.  I also do a lot of unpaid gigs which always leads to paid gigs through people I meet which is nice. I’m most proud of collaborating and working with younger kids and creating a community like my teen music jams which led to my group unity song, “Love is the only River” which won the international songwriting contest in the teen category out of 19,000 entries. It’s a song I performed with friends at many global unity charity events which makes me happy. I think being open to collaborating and working with all kinds of people regardless of genre or fame opened up many doors for me. My fans are very loyal and have stuck with me since the beginning and I appreciate them so much and try to respond to all of them on all my social media posts and talk to them weekly during my livestreams. All of this connection to my fans helps me professionally as well and continue to succeed. You can’t do it without the fans:)! People come and go in your life whether you work with them or not but the fans will always be there. The fans keep me going despite any challenges I face with losing friends or people in the business. I don’t want to label myself as one brand of music such as indie pop, it’s best to explore all genres and make whatever music I like. I have a responsibility to be a good role model to my younger fans and I try to do this every day by following my heart, goals and dreams.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love westward beach in malibu and there’s a nearby restaurant called The Sunset which is very fun and delicious with great food and drinks. I’m a malibu girl so I love the ocean and being at the beach. I also perform alot locally at The Malibu Lumberyard at Cross Creek which is another great place to hang and shop!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I love my fans SO much and I would not be where I am today without them as well as my family. If I had to shout out one person who is most responsible for my love of music and songwriting I’d have to say my Grandpa, Gopala, who is now 83 years old. Every time he would see me or talk to me on the phone from Canada he would ask me to sing a song for him and I would sing him a song I composed with different lyrics over and over again called, “Believe”. We started when I was about 4 years old and he always encouraged my singing and songwriting along with my mom & dad. I’ve always been his “superstar”.
