We had the good fortune of connecting with D’Angelo LaVelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi D’Angelo, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Hope Road Ministries mission is to extend the peace of God in the communities we are providing food, clothing and healing to the people of God; re-establishing joy, purpose and light in every community and being a cornerstone of hope to the hopeless.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The unique or distinct nature regarding my art, is the ability to channel my creativity from a spiritual lens. Creating from a portal solely from God’s vision and perspective; which has attributed to my success as I direct my films out of place of divinity. Aligning myself with the will of God to develop a visual representation of what he wants the world to see. Which one of the most important instructions I was given, was to pull all inspiration from the source of it all, the bible. I desire that my brand delivers an opportunity to heal, restore and empower; That I focus simply on guiding God’s people out of the darkness of the world, to the light of his Kingdom.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The first place to visit would have to be Santa Monica Pier/Beach. I enjoy the ambience of the peace, freedom and serenity it creates; Setting the tone of tranquility with the waves and incredible beach aesthetic would be priority. I would follow that up with one of my favorite brunch spots at Toast Bakery, and a outing at either Universal Studios city walk or The Grove.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, I would love to Shoutout MyFriendsHouseLA (We Feed The Hungry), a non profit Organization located downtown Los Angeles in the Skid Row community, geared to feed the needy both physically and spiritually.
