We had the good fortune of connecting with Lulu Olguin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lulu, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always thought there’s nothing better than doing what you love, that way there’s nothing to loose. I love drawing , painting, art & fashion . Street fashion is my style.
I thought why not combine all my passions and make unique , custom made , hand painted fashion pieces that match my style & if they don’t sell I’ll just keep them for myself.
But once I made the first pieces I had an amazing response and they sold out, and that’s how Bandida Brand started.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Bandida Brand is a streetwear brand based in LA inspired in Fashion, Music and Art, Is a collection of very exclusive and limited pieces that are One of a kind.
Including Hand Painted Jackets, graphic tees, hoodies, pants, and hats, that are Unisex, for men, women and kids.
Everything is reworked, designed and or Custom Made by me.
Todo hecho con Amor and every Piece is very special and unique.
I love to see my collectors posting their pictures and videos in social media, and see them wearing Bandida Brand outfits on the streets. It makes me feel so proud of my work and what I’m doing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There’s a lot to do here in LA. I personally love outdoors, fun and relaxing places, nice views, art and good food!
LA is about all that, everything is close by.
I would take them for a hike to the Santa Monica Mountains. To visit some one of the museums like the Getty or the Broad museums. To Catch the Sunset in Santa Monica Pier. To a full fun day at the Universal Studios Hollywood . To a cruise trip in Long Beach. To a dinner in a rooftop restaurant bar in West Hollywood.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To all my Mexican and Immigrant people that are here working hard and giving their best. Specially to those who have already achieved success and are using it to inspire and support those who are still working hard to achieve it. Thanks to them, to my friends and family that supports me, and to all my “Bandidos and Bandidas” that already owned Bandida Brand.
Their help and support inspires me to work harder and keep going.
