We had the good fortune of connecting with LetFloGo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LetFloGo, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Deciding to pursue an artistic career was not an easy or obvious decision and it was one that we both had to come to on our own. We both started at our local community college at fifteen. For almost three years, we put music to the wayside and focused on our education. While Bo earned a degree in the culinary arts, Ky continued to explore other options but always had music in the back of her mind. After years of being on different pages, we couldn’t ignore the fact that music is our passion and there was nothing else we wanted our careers and lives to revolve around.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We are an indie-alternative sister band composed of harmonies, acoustic guitar, sarcasm, some light bass, and songwriting. What sets us apart are the originals we write. These songs are what we are most excited about. We are proud to sing them on stage together with our harmonies, passion, and stage presence. It is one thing to declare yourself a professional, but it is another to think of yourself as one. We have definitely just begun to reach that level of professionalism that we are striving for, and it has been achieved not only by acting as professionals- showing up on time, performing well, etc.- but by starting to think of ourselves as such. We have learned that in order for LetFloGo to truly succeed, we have to come together as a team, which isn’t always easy when you are sisters with bossy personalities. We have had to learn how to communicate with one another, respect the other’s opinions, and grow as professionals. At the end of the day, we could not and would not be able to do any of it without each other.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We aren’t from LA, but we are in beautiful Santa Barbara. If we had a friend that just flew into the LAX airport, our first stop would be In N Out. Not adjusted to LA traffic, there would be a lot of road rage on the way home. We would take our friend to the lovely beaches (Hendry’s beach allows dogs) and delicious restaurants on State Street, and to the Santa Barbara Bowl, where hundreds of incredible musicians perform.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All credit for the product of LetFloGo goes to the tireless efforts of our mother and father for always believing in us, completely supporting our dream, and enthusiastically pushing us to take the risk.
