We had the good fortune of connecting with Gilbert Medina Chris Alexander and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gilbert Medina, what do you attribute your success to?
There are many factors that are important behind our success, one of them is, the relationships we have built with the boxing community and the boxers themselves. We treat every fighter with the same respect as if they were the world champion, everyone gets the best service that we can provide. Another factor is, we create 1 of1 boxing fight night outfits, Which means that no one will ever wear the same outfit design that a previous fighter has worn.. and finally the exclusivity of our brand brings in more and returning fighters. by creating unique outfits that the world hasn’t seen yet.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets us apart from others is, that our outfits are 1 of 1, they are tailored to the fighter themselves, outfits will never be recreated or copied, the materials we use are another level, the detail in the outfit is barred none. Also, the experience that a fighter has with us sets us apart from the rest, we treat everyone with the same respect. We get excited when our fighters are on tv and you could tell they are feeling themselves because of their performance changes. Our outfits make you feel like you are wearing a superhero outfit, I believe that they have the same feeling that Bruce Wayne feels when he puts on the batman outfit. We got here by being persistent and being real and humble, a lot of times we are told that we are the hardest working team in the business, which it is true we don’t sleep until everything is done and nothing is ever finished because a new outfit needs to be done. We want to be known as the brand that changed the way fighters look and feel in the boxing ring

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The way we at SMF do things is we go everywhere and anywhere, there are lots of spots that we enjoy going. We go from downtown LA to San Bernardino area. we are always looking for cool new spots

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We strongly believe that our families deserve a lot of credit, they are the ones that have been supporting us and pushing us to not give up on what we strongly believe. When times get rough we turn to them for advice because they are on the outside looking in. We have lots of individual shoutouts, to me (gilbert) Bobby Hundreds is a huge inspiration, the way he believes in his gift is amazing, I’m inspired by him because he really took his creative mind and turned it into an army!
