Meet Jaime Parker Stickle and Jason Beeber | Hosts and Creators of the Make That Paper Podcast

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaime Parker Stickle and Jason Beeber and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jaime and Jason, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
That’s a great question. Um, we think success can be measured multiple ways, obviously, but the one that resonates with us the most is how much our listeners and guests enjoy what we’re doing. Every email, DM, review, and comment left for us tells us we’re doing this right—that’s success to us. Our joy and enthusiasm for our work every day we get to do it—that’s success. Every time we seek out a guest and ask them to join us—and they say yes, they love the show—that’s success.
So, the most important factor behind our success is engagement with our audience, engagement with our guests, and that’s what has allowed us to grow our listenership. But the way we measure our success is by waking up and thinking YAY! We get to go record a podcast today! Not, ugh—we have to go to work. And, it is work—make no mistake, but we enjoy it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are both multi-faceted artists, and over the course of our careers, we both have had many day jobs, side hustles, and alternate income streams in order to support our pursuit of craft. Our show explores the many ways all sorts of artists have supported themselves in pursuit of their artistic careers, and the lessons they have learned along the way.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Our listeners and our guests!
