We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashlee Hamilton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashlee, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I knew I had a passion for health and fitness, but the idea of creating a business out of it didn’t occur to me until I realized how much time I was already spending working on this with folks. Whether it was consulting with family members or helping strangers, I realized that I was already informally doing the work. I was just doing it for free. One day, someone asked me why don’t I charge to help people get healthier. And that’s when it occurred to me that I could do something I’m doing anyway and make money at the same time.

What should our readers know about your business?
All 3 for Health is still relatively new, as it was founded in May of 2021. Starting a business in the middle of a global pandemic was definitely not easy. In particular, it was difficult to get paying clients when people were getting laid off left and right. It was also difficult to adjust to virtual training and coaching. But, as it usually goes, out of those challenges came many opportunities. The pandemic allowed me to reach clients in states I would have never even thought of. The pandemic also allowed me to structure my business around working from home for my day job. So while getting started had its challenges, there were definitely some benefits.

What I want the world to know about All 3 for Health is that it is not based on false or misleading promises. It doesn’t claim that some special diet will solve all of your problems, or that working with All 3 for Health will get you ripped in 90 days. Instead, I tell clients the plain truth, which is that the key to lasting physical wellness is to develop sustainable habits in the areas of nutrition, movement, and sleep. I also want the world to know that those three aren’t the only three factors. One’s ability to manage stress also plays a role in how healthy we feel physically. There is no quick fix. And nothing will work unless you do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First, we would sleep in everyday because sleep is important! LOL. For brunch, we would head over to Seabird’s in Long Beach. They have the best vegan waffles I’ve ever had, and those breakfast tacos are amazing. Then we would head to an art museum for a bit. We’d have lunch at Janga in Culver City, and then go for a bike ride around the city. We’d probably catch a movie before dinner (likely a romantic comedy). For me, some of the most fun things to do in LA are just to enjoy the beautiful weather and good eats. I love being outside of the house, so my ideal week would not involve being at home. We’d probably hit up the beach, go for some walks, do some shopping, and go to some fitness classes (like trap yoga or spin class).

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There’s so many people! I’ll just stick to three.

First, I would give a shoutout to God. Okay I know that sounds cliche. But hear me out. There were so many points in my early life where I wanted to give up. I just wanted to give up on life. It felt too hard. But I was always taught to lean on God when I couldn’t lean on anyone else. And that has stuck with me. God has directed me and ordered my steps in the most unfathomable ways, and I am eternally grateful.

Second, I would give a shoutout to my mom. Other than just being my biggest cheerleader, she trusted me to guide her towards a healthier lifestyle before I was even certified to do what I was doing. This trust she had in me and her results gave me the biggest confidence boost I could ever get.

Third, I would thank Deshawn Edwards. Being a health coach can be emotionally draining and discouraging. Throughout the whole process of starting my business down to the day to day interactions with clients, Deshawn has been my guardian angel and biggest supporter.
