We had the good fortune of connecting with Nancy Taiye Aragbaye and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nancy Taiye, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Everything I do now is a direct result from my experience as an Educator. During my experience as an educator I was able to identify gaps in the education system. It was there I discovered how the gaps in the education system which was a lack of entrepreneurship & business education and formal leadership education. I knew that if we wanted to combat poverty and help communities and families thrive, small businesses is what would support that. That is when I had the epiphany to create Strategic Solutions LLC – we are a boutique consulting firm providing practical a business & leadership education to women.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am firm believer that business owners are innovators who solve issues that plague our society. As a business owner and founder of a boutique consulting firm, I wanted to ensure that I was providing a service that had the potential to change the trajectory of business success for small businesses while curbing poverty within communities.

What makes Strategic Solutions special is that we hyper focus on developing female entrepreneurs from disadvantaged communities. After researching the impact that women of color have on their families and communities it only made sense to empower, train and develop these women. At Strategic Solutions we were able to bring something to the market that was a need, impactful and had a solution to driving economic mobility for underserved communities.

My time building Strategic Solutions has taught me so many lessons. My top Key Lessons from Business
1) Be flexible and adaptive – things don’t always go your way
2)Be sure to nurture your audience – this helps you build a long lasting brand instead of a temporary business.
3) Lead with Vision and not by circumstance – Challenges will arise but never give up
4) Network, Network, Network – Authentic Connections can get you into doors intelligence cant

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a pretty simple lady. here are a few things I would recommend people do

1) You can go wrong with E.P. & L.P. It’s such a vibe. Its a great place to have drinks with friends, grab good food and enjoy nice roof top vibes.

2) You definitely cant come to LA without making your way to the beach. Hitting up Venice Beach and making a stop at pink taco is a must. Ocean breeze and excellent Mexican food certainly makes a wonderful day.

3) For those looking to get a little activity in their trip rRunyon canyon gets the job done. It’s the perfect hike that can be done with a group of friends.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Entrepreneurship is a tough industry to be apart of. Having a community and a group of people you can depend on is important. I want to shout out my parents for instilling in me the confidence to follow my dreams. Their support has certainly made the journey easier.
