Meet Tara Hayes | Author | Mental Wellth Mentor | Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tara Hayes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tara, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was that I wanted to invest in myself and have something of my own. This journey began when I was laid off from two jobs within a 10-month period. My confidence and self-esteem were nonexistent at that point. Before jumping into another job and risking being fired again, I decided I needed to find out who I was and my true passion. I also knew that I really disliked the shame and embarrassment that came with being fired. If I started my own business, I’d be my own boss and no one could fire me again.
Also, starting my own business allowed me to help introverted women, like myself, overcome the anxieties that come along with becoming a self-published author. I love that having my own business allows me to help others and make an impact in the world.

What should our readers know about your business?
Tarafied publishing specializes in mental wellness, anxiety management, personal development, information publishing, marketing, and sales.
I help working introverted female entrepreneurs overcome problems with panic by gaining peace of mind, finding purpose in their time, as well as power in their life and style.
Peace of mind is gained by developing a journaling routine and I help wannabe introverted entrepreneurs do just that.
Once we establish peace of mind, the next step is to find purpose in their time. After they find their purpose, the next step is power in life and style in which I help them turn their business ideas into income.
I got to where I am today business-wise by sharing my story. I wrote my book Panic to Picnic: How to Find Your Own Personal Path to Peace of Mind.
From there I began providing Mentoring services. From that point, decided I wanted to help other introverted female entrepreneurs self-publish their own story.
It has not been a smooth road. I’ve experienced imposter syndrome and feelings of unworthiness. Even though I knew I had developed an excellent anxiety management plan, I struggled with defining my audience and communicating a clear message that resonated.
The biggest obstacle was beating my own negative thoughts and putting myself out there. I overcame the challenges by gaining clarity, getting consistent, and disciplining myself to show up.
When you’re a Solopreneur it’s challenging to keep up with your email list, create content, create products, content marketing, and all the media platforms. I’ve learned that all I need to do is accomplish one thing a day.
If I focused on being just 1% better than the day before, I could beat the overwhelm and feeling like I have so much to do.
I want the world to know that my brand and story gives voice to the anxious, introverted female who is waiting to make her mark on the world. She wants to share her story but isn’t quite sure how to. So she’s observing and collecting information.
When she is ready, she will get out of her head and her own way. She will make her mark. The world needs her.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting me, I’d take her to Downtown LA of course! I’d take her to Grand Central Market because that is the place to be! I love Tacos so I’m sure we’d stop at Tacos Tumbras! It’s always a fun time there. I always meet exciting people at GCM.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate my shoutout to my business parther, Dairrick Anthony Jordan, aka praadigi.exe, Creator of Income Idea Inc. He has been my biggest support since I started this journey two years ago. He helps me plan and execute my ideas in my business. I can’t thank him enough for being a part of my journey.
