We had the good fortune of connecting with Heather Myers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Heather, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
River & Bridge began in 2012, and over the last 10 years it has grown from a small, side hustle to a full-time operation, partnering with event planners and businesses across the country. We specialize in branding an event and creating a thoughtful, cohesive story from save-the-dates to invitations to day-of items. All designs are custom and tailored to a client’s vision and personality, making sure even the smallest detail is considered.

Many things have contributed to our success, but 3 of our values are communication, attention to detail, and integrity.

Communication: being responsive and setting clear expectations. Help clients understand what they can expect, each step of the way — from that initial email to delivered product. No one likes surprises (unless you are ahead of schedule)!

Attention to Detail: from font selection to paper texture to color palette, each detail matters and it helps tell a story. Find a way to make a project personal and incorporate something meaningful to the client. Also, it’s never a bad idea to check your spelling or postage amount one more time!

Integrity: doing the right thing, and doing the thing right. Honor your commitments, even when you face challenges. (Sidenote: the client doesn’t need to know about those challenges! Just handle it.) Produce a product that you’re proud of, that you stand behind. If a mistake is made, take responsibility and find a solution quickly.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
For nearly a decade, River & Bridge has been entrenched in the luxury event industry, ranging from corporate events to weddings, both locally and abroad. We specialize in branding an event and creating a thoughtful, cohesive story from save-the-dates to invitations to day-of items. All designs are custom and tailored to a client’s vision and personality, making sure even the smallest detail is considered.

We believe that the process should be fun! We aren’t afraid to use color or to think outside the box — we welcome a design challenge. Whether it’s sourcing handmade paper from India, adding that perfect letterpress impression, or curating vintage stamps that honor a couple’s story, we love the journey and consider it a privilege to be a part of so many meaningful moments.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, Brandon, has been my biggest cheerleader every step of the way. He has always believed in me and encouraged me to achieve more. In fact, it was his push in 2015 that led me to take River & Bridge full-time. And that was the best decision I’ve ever made (aside from marrying him!)
