We had the good fortune of connecting with Christian Elizondo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christian, is there something you believe many others might not?
I disagree when people advise giving up when things get tough in your life.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I want the world to know my story behind each photograph there is a very strong feeling and I always like to express what the soul needs. The path is not easy, you do not have opportunities to be yourself at times. When I am presented with a challenge, I always try to focus on what I want to achieve when taking the picture. One of the most important lessons in this world is… always believe in yourself even if your mind or people tell you otherwise.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I always wanted to go to the woods to take pictures of my friends who are very few in fact. I always like to eat pizza or something like that. Sometimes I like to record videos to remember the good times.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am very grateful to my friends who have been present in my life to support me on multiple occasions when I thought I could not continue on my path, it is a difficult path and at this moment I want to thank them for their support Marco Rodríguez, Yax London, Stef Ponce and Atlhaz (El Chamo).
