We had the good fortune of connecting with Lila and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lila, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
For as long as I can remember I would always find ways to release my creativity. It started with painting, building, and drawing and as I grew older I began channeling my creativity into my career. I completed Nail Tech school in order to combine my creativity and my career. However, I quickly realized that nails were not a big enough canvas to showcase my creativity. During the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine, the free time allowed me to expand my horizons leading to The Kraft Dealer’s birth. My first collection was epoxy resin products, such as trays, ashtrays, and dominoes. The 2021 collection introduced a home décor aesthetic that connects my esthetic and nail tech experience into attractive and visually appealing home décor pieces that start conversations.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I take pride in my business and how it is operated, I think outside of the box when I create and hope that people are leaving with a piece unlike any other in the world. This is why I emphasize handmade crafts that are one of a kind. It was a long and hard road and every day is still a challenge especially since my business is still getting started. I like to put focus on my mental state because I create the best artwork when my mind is focused on the art. Not everyone is in it for the passion and a lot of times people are not in it for the right reasons and it can be disheartening when you’re trying to figure things out when you’re first starting. Every day isn’t going to be a sunny day when running a business, there will be a lot of cloudy and rainy days, but you always have to remember after a storm there’s always a rainbow. My art is always evolving so be on the lookout for me and what I have in store!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

My family, specifically my mother, grandmother, uncle, and my partner for always supporting me in every direction I go with my art even if that means I change my direction every month lol. Also, Sabrina owner of Casacherrywood who has helped me elevate my business to selling in person.
