Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Miracle Mamas LLC is the brainchild of my trauma and triumphs. After being diagnosed with HELLP Syndrome at 26 weeks pregnant, the fight for my life began. I went into multi-organ failure and was put on life support as a means of trying to save my life. But the true remedy for this illness was the birth of my daughter nearly 4 months early. My husband nor I had a road map for birth trauma, prematurity, the NICU or raising a medically-fragile child. I started my Instagram page @andsheshallreign as a way for our families to keep up with her NICU journey. Little did I know, people from all over the world would not only find my story but the hope in it. We became advocates for March of Dimes and soon starred in commercial and print ads. At the start of the pandemic, I had the idea to host virtual game nights for the preemie moms that I had met over the last 2 years. I was later introduced to a new social media platform called Clubhouse which I decided to use to hold chat rooms. Before I realized it, we became a full on support group. After about 6 months I was being called on to help organizations better serve mothers as well as parents within the NICU. I knew then that it was time to develop a business plan and develop a business that would not only help corporations but also employ mothers who also want to take their lived experiences and allow them to work for them. And that is what makes Miracle Mamas stand out.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One thing I absolutely love about living in the Washington DC area is the abundance of memorials, museums and amazing restaurants downtown. Everything is within walking distance and the scenery (especially in the spring and summer) makes the walk worthwhile. Two of my favorite memorials are the Martin Luther King Memorial and Lincoln Memorial as the views are breathtaking. We also have an amazing area on the outskirts of Maryland called National Harbor that provides incredible trails, fine dining and water taxis to other parts of the area.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to the love I didn’t think I deserved and the one who showed me what unconditional love truly is: my husband Ryan Ford and daughter Reign Victoria Ford. They are my WHY and encourage me to continue evolving into better versions of myself.
