We had the good fortune of connecting with John Zenes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi John, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I come from a background where I only have a 9th grade education. I needed to do something more that look for a “JOB”

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have had the opportunity to build several global distribution companies in the past. With these companies I had the opportunity to travel the world and be able to share stories and motivate thousands of people on my journey. Today I along with my family by my side have been able to create one of the largest transportation companies “Park City Passport” in Park City, Utah. In my down time I also decided to re-launch into the sports card world and have created a huge brand “The Cardboard Kids” along with my business partner Tommy Martin.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We live just on the outskirts of Salt Lake City, Utah. We would always look for opportunities to take friends to “Temple Square” in Salt Lake City. Some of our favorite place to eat would definitely include Estes Pizza in SLC and our new go to steak house is in Park City “Prime Steak House”. Of course if visiting in the Winter it would include a trip to one of our many amazing Ski resorts.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have been blessed to have some amazing people on my side. The 1st and foremost is my wife “Paige” and our family of 4 kiddos. I also have a father “William J. Zenes” that past away in 1986, but always saw me as self motivated.
