We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Macc and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jay, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
i define success by being able to enjoy life while doing what you love and making money by doing so and when you get the opportunity to pass that knowledge onto somebody who needs it more than you whether that be a family member or somebody who looks up to you.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is coming from a place of truthfulness and its just an outward expression of how i feel in todays age being 20 years old in Los Angeles. Im most proud of being apart of the EVGLE team and being able to learn music up close and personal now i manage an artist signed to EVGLE by the name of Jay Millian. I started working as an intern for EVGLE in 2020. Is it easy? No but i dont expect it to be i embrace the challenge of stepping into a new profession. Ive learned that moving thru different rooms you cant expect everyone to be like you but just always hold yourself to a high standard while doing business and respect everyone you come across how you would want to be respected.

I want the world to know that no matter what platform Im on or accomplishment I gain Im still young ghetto kid from south central los angeles at the end of the day but i just stayed focused, trusted my gut and found my way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First off i gotta get my boy right and slide to the slauson swapmeet and make sure he got everything he need. Id take bro to simply wholesome, mamas chicken for a good burger. We’d visit the Santa Monica Pier or Venice because its still summer but i feel like all of LA is so beautiful i cant even narrow it down you just gotta hop in the car and drive.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Its hard to narrow it down to one person because my family is always in my corner supporting me shout out to my family! but i would say my moms though more than anybody moms really been my #1 forever she love me regardless of who i am to the world you know and she just keep me motivated and humble and she always gone keep it real with me.
