We had the good fortune of connecting with Payzar Jacqueline Karadjian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Payzar Jacqueline, what is the most important factor behind your success?Staying true to who I am. It is difficult nowadays with social media and
especially living in Los Angeles to not give into a persona – but staying true to the person I was raised to be by my amazing mother and father has been the most important factor in creating a career for myself.

What should our readers know about your business?

Studio City pop up is created for all businesses and business owners to know that we are all in this together. A curated space of multiple talented vendors and creators, a space where no one feels left behind or less than. I have always had a love for business and was raised in an entrepreneurially minded home. As a young girl, I remember both my grandma (dad’s mom) and my dad teaching me about business and making sure my siblings and I looked through decisions with a business framework, without ever pressuring a particular career path. Having this family support is super helpful, but it is not everything. By this I mean – it is often assumed that because of the family support I had, that my professional path has been easy– which is probably what I hate most, and I know I am not alone on this. The easy path would have been to absolutely nothing. But to become accountable not only for yourself, but for businesses of others, have been a much more challenging and rewarding choice.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

If you know me then you know an itinerary, traveling and exploring new/old places is one of my absolute favorite things to do! I think I owned a tour bus business in my previous life. “Payzik Tours” to be exact, who knows maybe I will bring it back in this life too. But my point is – I definitely live to explore! Where we would go would depend on my visitor’s personality – but since in this case it is my best friend – we will start with a morning hike – nothing too difficult, but something with an LA view, then head to west Hollywood for some breakfast/brunch at The Griddle Cafe because I feel like you can never go wrong with this location as it is a true LA classic. We will then drive through Sunset Blvd., my favorite LA street, and all along Melrose and Santa Monica Blvd. and Beverly Hills, making our way to the Grove to shop around and have some lunch/or iced coffee. Then we will head to Venice, where the Venice Canals are located – it’s a touch of Amsterdam in LA that I absolutely adore. We would walk through the streets take a quick walk on the beach, and grab dinner possibly in Malibu!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I truly do not believe in solo success. Sure, you could have thought up an idea alone in bed,, or on an inspirational traveling journey, but I can guarantee two things: you are probably not the first to ever think of this idea, nor you will not be able to do whatever it is in the exact way you would want to completely solo. That being said,, I owe the following three groups a shoutout: my immediate family (parents and two brothers), my WIB (Women in Business) group from Baruch College in NYC, and my angels in heaven. My family because both my parents are two of the most supportive human beings I have ever encountered, my brothers because Patrick (middle brother) keeps me accountable and Christopher (younger brother) keeps me motivated as I want to be a great example for him. Next comes the club I was in during college. Choosing a school based on what you love is very important and I was able to find my “home” within Women in Business. It is a club dedicated to enhancing your strengths and challenging your weaknesses, and gives you a clearer understanding of how you would like to move forward. The girls I met during this time still push and motivate me today. Especially my leader that unfortunately passed away during a tragic boating accident. Which brings me to my angels. If you personally know me then you know I am very spiritually and emotionally connected and use signs from my angels to guide me in all my decisions. Although it is hard to go through grief, any type of loss is the most growing experience.
