We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michelle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

From a young age I always knew I wanted a career where I could interact with people and help to make a difference in their lives. I spent the first part of my life at a desk job, and although I love it, it just wasn’t fulfilling this desire; I knew I wanted more. In 2020, I started my very first business, BombChelle Bling, selling $5 Paparazzi jewelry! All items are nickel and lead free, and hypoallergenic. Now, selling jewelry may not seem like a job where you get to help people, but it really is! Jewelry gives women a whole new level of confidence. It is the cherry on top of a cute outfit, and it can really make you feel like THAT chick! Now, I do things a bit differently than your average jewelry dealer, if you will; I sell jewelry live on Instagram. My IG store is @bombchellebling. This tactic has allowed for me to reach women from all over the United States. The parties are a whole lot of fun, so I’ve been told! I can’t tell you how many women have written to me telling me how much they love partying with me live and buying bling. It’s been a lot of fun and has been surprisingly a very lucrative business as well. But the best part is that it has allowed me to meet so many awesome souls. I do a few pop up events here and there, but for the most part it’s live shows Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. PST. Selling bling has allowed me to bring confidence to so many women and provide them with a space to relax, groove to the music, engage in some fun conversation, and enjoy some good old retail therapy, right from the comfort of their couch, and at a price you can’t beat.

This year, however, I decided that I wanted to do more than just build confidence. I decided to get my real estate license and become a licensed REALTOR. A true career that would allow me to serve others. I read somewhere that a good real estate agent needs a servant’s heart to be able to put self on the shelf in order to meet someone else’s needs. I definitely have the heart of a servant, and I am very excited for a business that will allow me to assist people in achieving their dreams of becoming a homeowner. I obtained my license this year, and I am currently working as a REALTOR under my broker, and cousin, Tina Vasquez with Tri-Unity Realty, Inc. Her business is Bakersfield based, but I will be expanding the company’s reach to the Los Angeles, Long Beach, and South Bay areas! If you are looking to buy or sell, definitely give me a call. I would love to help you achieve your goal.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?

What sets me apart from the many others who sell jewelry-and those who sell houses- is my bright positive energy, my love of making people happy, my unwavering loyalty, and my drive to succeed in everything I do. I got to where I am today business-wise by working hard, being persistent, seeking opportunities, networking, and by being a genuine person. People naturally want to support those who are genuinely good, kindhearted people. I wear my heart on my sleeve, and I always try to do all things with love. I am a people person in every sense of the word. I love to engage with people, converse, and connect. I love being a person who compliments others often; a person who likes to make people feel good, and happy inside. My work ethic, and all of these qualities have helped me to succeed in the business of selling jewelry, and I am confident that they will help me to succeed as a REALTOR as well.

Nothing in life has been easy for me, as I mentioned my upbringing was far from easy. I worked my way up to where I am today with nothing but hard work and dedication. Nothing was handed to me. I overcame the challenges by being resilient. By watching my parent’s actions, I learned what not to do in life. I saw, and lived, their struggles and I knew I wanted better. It pushed me to work hard to succeed. I wanted to create a good life for myself. I knew what it took to get that and made it happen.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a friend came to visit me in Southern California for a week, there would be so many cool spots I would take them to visit. I would start out by taking them to the best city in So Cal of course, Long Beach! Long Beach is home to some of the most awesome spots to hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather. From bike riding, quadricycles, or roller skating along the beach path, to enjoying the food, drinks, and shopping at Shoreline Village and the Pike, to enjoying some laughs at the Laugh Factory, peddling away in swan boats downtown, or bar hopping on Second Street, there is something for everyone to enjoy. I would also take them to Hollywood of course! We would see the famous Walk of Fame, enjoy the many museums, explore cool spots like Ripley’s Believe it or Not, Universal Studios Hollywood, City Walk, the wax museum, and more. We would definitely have to take the coolest IG worthy pics at the Museum of Illusions and The Upside Down House! After all that we would grab street tacos duh! Can’t be in LA and not enjoy those, oh. and the famous bacon wrapped hot dogs with onions and peppers would be on the menu as well. Yum! The rest of the time would be filled with hiking to the Hollywood sign, or the many trails in Echo Park, traveling to Anaheim to visit Disneyland, heading to Venice Beach to walk the path and check out the cool things for sale, and last but not least ride the rides and play the games at the Santa Monica Beach Pier. There is never a lack of things to do in Southern Cali.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

I truly feel that my success, and where I am in life is ultimately the result of the love and guidance of God, and of my Grandma Shaaron. I had a rough upbringing, being raised by parents who suffered from the sickness of addiction, and I have my grandma to thank for instilling in me morals and values, and for showing and teaching me what it is to give selflessly and love wholeheartedly. She is the reason I have a heart to serve, and her encouragement and guidance are the reason I am the hard-working, driven, and motivated individual I am.

I would also like to acknowledge my husband and sons for always being so extremely supportive of me and my business ventures. My husband has always been my rock, my best friend, and my biggest supporter. He gives the best advice and encourages me to achieve my many dreams. My sons are my heart, my motivation and inspiration, my greatest gift. I want to work hard to give them the best life I can, and to teach, and show, them that hard work pays off.

Last but not least, I would like to thank my cousin and broker Tina with Tri-Unity Realty, Inc. She has been the greatest mentor as I venture into the world of real estate. Her advice, patience, love and support are truly a blessing that I am very thankful for. She too has a heart of a servant, and I have no doubt I will be a successful REALTOR under her guidance.
