We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Lobnow and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kevin, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
Ultimately my end game is self fulfillment and recognition. As selfish as it sounds I wish to be recognized for my hard work, and the art I can create. Be it from an audience or myself. I want to be able to recognize within myself what I am capable of to the extent of my greatest abilities.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Within every problem lies a solution. How we deal with these problems sets us apart. Every artist runs into them. When trying to solve our issues, we mustn’t let emotions get in the way of our decisions. Understanding ones-self and handling these situations creatively and efficiently is what differentiates everyone.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Obviously we are going to the beach. But the much lesser known spots away from the beaten path. The best hope on the wall joints that LA has to offer. My personal favorite little spot that kept me sane through college is: Twin Castle on Vineland in North Hollywood. Their teriyaki chicken just slaps. There’s nothing better than surrounding yourself with good local food and amazing people.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
An organization that really had helped me along this winding path would have to be my high school marching band: The Vista Murrieta Golden Alliance. For four years I was ground down and molded into what I am today. I owe that to my instructor and mentor: Donald Wade. He accepted nothing but the best from us and wouldn’t sugar coat it. What some would consider harsh was actually the greatest lessons taught. As I grow older I only see how much he truly cared and really wanted each an every one of us to be the best we can possibly be. Almost as if he were our parent away from home. Thank you, Mr. Wade
