We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrienne Marlin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adrienne, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
Growing up I moved around a lot. I lived in 5 countries, moved schools countless times, and met so many different people, cultures, and languages. This impacted me because I had to adapt and learn to understand the people around me. I love storytelling now and I think that moving around so much helped me in that. I use different mediums such as design, fashion, film, and photography to tell stories and I love it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have loved photographing stories from lifestyle to weddings and fashion to documentary. I love when I go out and ask to photograph strangers. Its the stories I hear and the people I meet that are so interesting and really humbles me to think about all these memories and moments people have. The world is so big, yet I am grateful to be apart of it. I want people to see good even through heartbreak, destruction, brokenness, and worry because our world needs a little more light.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, I recently just moved to Santa Clarita California so I don’t have too many recommendations just yet. But I would definitely take them to 6 flags because its the place to go, I also love rollercoasters and hope they would to! There is a cool spot called Temakitto that serves sushi burritos which are delicious if you like sushi. And my favorite Mediterranean spot is Sammys Mediterranean, this place serves the best hummus, I’m obsessed with it. Then our Town Center mall where we would of course catch a movie to watch, shop around for some fun outfits before we go to my neighborhoods private community lounge which I wish was my house because it is so nice and grab some Cozy Tea and Juice boba on our way back. I would recommend the brown sugar milk tea or lavender, I go quite often.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to shoutout my family. They have helped me become who I am today and each one of them have encouraged me and supported me in different ways. They have helped cultivate my strengths and skills and understand my weaknesses and how to use them and grow in them. So thank you to Steve, Salva, Anna, & Alexandra Marlin, I love you guys.
