Meet Paola Erazun | Costume Designer/ Stylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Paola Erazun and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paola, what makes you happy? Why?
What makes me happy is the beach and nature, meditation, and spending time with my friends who also happens to be from all over the world.. I love cooking as it relaxes me and I’m a foodie! The older I get the more I appreciate the small things in life.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Spanish stylist/ costume designer working in film, mostly commercials.
What sets me apart from others is my drive, my passion, and my hardship. Get up, go on and never give up is my mantra! I love what I do! Going to work makes me happy and makes me alive! I guess that is reflected in my work and think people like that.
Thanks to my perseverance and patience I am where I am today. It was not easy, Los Angeles and “Hollywood” is the most competitive city in the world. Everyone is here but I knew what I am worth, and I never give up. The gift of my success is my hardship.
I overcome the challenges by doing my best, and with spirituality. With s a good attitude and a smile! I think if you do your best and you are good at what you do… the opportunities and recommendations will come. When you get to the right people and opportunities start raising, it’s a very rewarding place to live and to have the beach in a big city is priceless!
Last two years have been my best years so far! I have the pleasure to work with A-list directors, A-list production companies and A-list clients. One project I’m very proud to be part of, is the Adidas Original 2022 campaign. A campaign that captures and tells the narrative of some amazing visionaries.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Best Italian restaurant is Colapasta. The chef and owner has a Michelin star, he makes pasta from scratch. Absolutely delicious and has good prices.
For hiking my favorite spot is Los Liones, the ocean view is quiet and peaceful.
If you want a rapid and healthy lunch I will highly recommend Erewhon. I always get lunches there! The salad bar is amazing!
I’m a regular at Santa Monica Seafood Market and their staff is lovely! Gjusta is a great place for good quality food and a very nice and pretty place where you will see really cool people.
If someone comes to visit, I think something that is very unique and special in LA is the Cinespia – Hollywood Forever Cemetery, watching movies outdoors, you bring your own picnic and drinks in a cemetery with palm trees. And of course, you can’t miss Hollywood Bowl, a beautiful outdoor concerts venue, with amazing performances.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I really would like to dedicate this to Self-Realization Fellowship – SRF – Lake Shrine and to Brother Satyananda, my spiritual mentor. This place has changed my life finding inner peace and happiness through meditation and spirituality. Success and joy come from the inside.
