Meet Nick Metos | Influencer, Content Creator, Makeup Artist, Singer/Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nick Metos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nick, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“There may yet be more magic to come. ”
My dear friend and Creative Director, Mr.Max wrote this about me in his journal the first day we worked together.

“Nick Metos
is quite a magical person.
There may yet be more magic to come.

Dress up is Magic.”

To me this means that I have the power to keep growing into myself as a creator and that I have the power to control my little realities.
It’s something Mr. Max talked to me about and that we’ve continued expand on since the day we met. He talked to me about the small everyday magic of presentation. The magic of creating our spaces. We don’t just shelter and cover ourselves. We, like, decorate and put our personalities on the walls. We have a casual type of magic that is our ability to control who we present each day. I’d been feeling kind of not myself and then I met this itty bitty dude at a big queer party. And it was like he just slid right into my brain and said
“Hey. You totally know who you are. AND you’re talented, and smart and worthy. And it’s time for us to have fun.”

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Professional M U A Make Up Artist (singersongwriter,lifestyleguru,dragartist)
I do a lot of things!
There’s always gonna be a special warm hole in my soul where I keep the music video I made for my song “See Me”. That’s the place where all my art gets to come together with visual and musical harmony. I worked ages getting that wedding dress spray painted. it was so crunchy, and that wig was so itchy and I was so mushy gushy proud of myself.
I look back on that now and I’m just like.
“Look at him. He was so cute. What a star. What a little hunk”
Now I’m a slightly bigger hunk and I’m actually feeling myself in this new season of my relationship to my craft. I’ve brought a new Creative Director on board and he’s honestly just helping me renew my love affair with the art that is makeup and music.
I’ve been a bit, let’s say, afraid of my piano lately. But,
I think,
Now I’m feeling, little by little,
I feel a bit more
free.
And I’m ready to start being playful again.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Toi: go for the pad thai and the hardrock decor Sunset Thai: for my actual padthai on delivery (so many tupperwares)
La Fitness: For the trade….. also heeaaallllllllthhhhhhh
Boba Time: I’m a basic Girl Thai Tea all the way; with boba, light ice 10% sugar.

OH THE CREDIT Where do I even Start?

Well obviously with my parents, Who’ve supported me every step of the way. Thank you for seeing me and giving me the allowances to follow an unfamiliar path. You are my rock and my foundation and the fire under my ass. Love you forever and again.
