Meet “Hot Yogi Moms” Jillian & Samara | Yoga Instructors & Moms

We had the good fortune of connecting with “Hot Yogi Moms” Jillian & Samara and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi “Hot Yogi Moms” Jillian & Samara, how does your business help the community?
Hot Yogi Moms is a brand, yes, but it’s also a community. Mother or not, we connect with other women, empower them, ground them, and remind them that it’s okay to be a hot mess sometimes. We’re all doing our best and we gotta take care of ourselves and each other!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are yoga instructors and moms to young children. Hot yogi moms was created to build a community of women both on & off the yoga mat, who want to be intentional and authentic, but also have a sense of humor and realize that not everyday is a good day. We want women to understand that self-care is not selfish and in order to be our best selves, we have to prioritize our own health and wellness.
By hosting pop-up events all over Southern California, we’ve been able to meet and connect with so many amazing people and bond over our shared love of yoga and motherhood.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well we love the beach, so we’d probably spend a lot of time on the coast.
Newport Beach is a favorite spot. Walk the crystal cove beach trail and end with Brunch at the beachcomber— the beignets are a must!! Then venture onto the beach to wade in the tide pools and look for anemones.
Rent bikes and bike the balboa peninsula, take the ferry over to the island. Get a frozen treat or a hippo cookie at Dads.
A duffy boat ride over to Billy’s for Mai Tais.
Dinner has to be Houston’s!!! Love the emerald kale salad. Milk and cookies for dessert .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We have an incredible tribe! The teachers who taught us, and continue to encourage us. Our students who are dedicated and inspire us to show up and keep growing. Our friends and other moms to young children who know what it’s like to be so incredibly exhausted but desperately want time for yourself.
