Meet Kim Miller | Owner/operator of tour business

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kim Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kim, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Add some extra activities to our little town. We are at the entrance of Yosemite National Park.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We have a Jeep touring business. We have 4 door Jeep Wranglers that the customer rents and drives. They then follow a lead Jeep into the forest and bordering Yosemite National Park. Getting the word out that we offer this activity was the hardest. The start up on business end was pretty easy, just time consuming.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Obviously a Jeep tour first. We’d also head to Columbia Historic park for “old time” views and ways of life. Iron Door Saloon for Dinners and Pool. ECHO Adventures for hiking and fly fishing. Yosemite National Park for hiking, views and photography. Maybe an electric bike ride on off road bike trails around town. Hit the local brewery for a lunch and microbrewery tasting.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
ECHO Co-Op. Elizabeth and Bryant Burnette. We started our business but, the Bryant’s were instrumental in helping promote and advertise our business. It would have taken us years to figure out what they already did years prior in their business. They set us up and put us in the right directions to gain world wide exposure.
Tuolumne County Visitors Center also helped us gain access across the world.
Exceptional leaders and business owners who reached out and helped others succeed!
