We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Alexander and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Since I was a teen I always had a passion for jewelry & accessories. My thought process was to just do it, It took me over a decade to start..I saved my money for 1 year one year, and took a leap of faith and Launched TEABOX November 21st, 2021. I knew I wanted a Luxury Jewelry Business after my business class almost 10 years ago, Life got in the way, a busy career but I knew I needed to launch my passion. Everyday TEABOX was on my mind, all you have to do is Start. Even if you take a month to come up with a name/logo, then what you want your site to be etc, just start.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Recently, I just transitioned out of Fashion to Production/Film Business. I started in high-end restaurant business and was an intern for PR companies, then I worked in Fashion sitting under the CEO of Milano Di Rouge- Milan Rouge. Now I sit under the President of IMAX entertainment. I also don’t have an Offical college degree, as I just need to apply to graduate but life has truly been my college. I enjoy working hard and seeing the bigger picture, in my career I have always showed up as my best self and I truly put in the work. Much is given much is required you will truly learn. What sets me apart is an unapologetically me and I have a big heart and in order to be a leader you have to be a servant first. I always will give my all and put in the work. Many talk a good game but when its time to sink or swim many don’t deliver. I am excited about what’s Next, what I will do, where will TEABOX go my career so much to be excited for!How I got where I am professionally was thankfully putting in the work and connecting with the right people, my work speaks for itself and I am reliable and a very loyal and professional. I am all about good business and not mixing with your personal life. Nothing that is really worth it comes easy, you truly have to put in the work. The lessons I learned all the way, leave emotions at the door, much is given much is required, that I am truly capable of anything I can put my mind to. Anything can be tangible its really how bad do you want it. How I overcome challenges, I try to go through it to get through it. take a step back or some me time and get back to it. what I want the world to know Is Everything I create for my brand I truly stood for, a smart-accomplished black woman with a hell of a story. I pray at least one thing my brand does truly has an impact on the world or someones life for the better.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ok, so we would probably eat all over LA. Granville in Pasadena was one my go-to’s with my girls. Highlight Room for Girls Brunch. Simply Salad for a Post workout. Fresh & Meaty if were stopping by Slauson. Third Base or Fin n Feathers for Sunday Funday. I was born and raised in California & went to highschool and all my adult life in LA I love everything about la. Inglewood and Lemeirt park have a lot of events and also Taste of soul and I love a concert or a Networking night so many things to do and a great LA page to follow for all things LA is @sbrbnla

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Running a business, truly takes a village.First I would like to shoutout GOD, for always having his hand over me in all aspects of my life. My mom for always supporting me and pushing me to launch TEABOX for many years. My sister truly hold me down, my sister is my Co-CD & ES. Thankful to have my former boss Milan that I had the honor to shadow, and she truly is the American dream.The advice she has given me I am grateful for. My best friends who are all business owners, so I’m blessed to be supposed by them and lean on.My Family, and my customers who I am so thankful for supporting my dream and to be able to add a touch of TEAXBOX to their lives. Lastly I want to thank myself for believing in my brand and myself and pushing through with having barely any personal time when I laughed. Just putting in the work to truly launch TEABOX and successfully have a great first year of business.
