We had the good fortune of connecting with Manolis Zontanos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Manolis, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
Because you know doing stand up comedy is the reason why you don’t give up on life

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started stand-up comedy in 2007 it was a time where the old-school comics were trying to not help the new comics as much because they’re afraid that they were going to lose work but Enough of the newer guys that started just early 2000s maybe that started having a name for themselves like Russell peters would help me give me advice be my friend the good comics were never afraid to help you, I think the one thing I learned from Russell was never to get caught up in being jealous about other comedians and enjoying the ride

Let’s say your best friend was visiting you in Canada and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well I live in Hamilton Ontario Canada if I had a friend that want to have some fun I will take them to levity comedy club and lounge to watch some stand up to hang out afterwards at the bar the place is designed like a time capsule where there’s old comedy albums pictures from everything you can imagine from the 70s 80s and 90s and now, besides that I’d probably have to take them to Ottawa Street where there’s some cool shopping and Show him the very first Tim Hortons store in Canada which is On Ottawa Street
