We had the good fortune of connecting with Yasar Chaudhary and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yasar, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
It was a big decision that required careful consideration and planning. Starting a business usually involves evaluating your skills, passions, and market demand to figure out a business idea that aligns with your strengths and interests. I think thats one of the biggest keys to the success of your business. I also consider the financial aspect of starting a business. Most individuals only consider the cost of the start up, but also need to consider the cost of their time. For example, would it be financially beneficial for me to go all in, or do I start slowly to generate enough income to cover expenses, while still attaining a full-time job and how long it would take to get there etc . Additionally, I was mindful of my own personal goals, such as having more control over my career, pursuing a more flexible lifestyle, or creating a positive impact on society.

We knew we wanted to bring an American made vodka to the market so people had a premium domestic option to choose from. We chose LA Vodka because Los Angeles has always been at the epicenter of American entertainment, culture, and fashion. You know, after starting several businesses, as cliché as it may sounds, dedication, drive, determination and consistency truly is one of the most powerful principles in any business.

I began working when I was just 14 years old in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Helping my father run his business instead of doing what a kid does actually made me happy. It taught me my core values as an entrepreneur. Every job has a purpose whether you enjoy it or not. Every opportunity you have taken, will teach you life lessons and principles you can take for the rest of your life. Over the years I have started dozen’s of businesses from vitamins and supplements to healthy meal deliver companies. One of my companies has been in the INC 5000 two years in a row putting it in the top 0.07% in terms of growth in the nation. Shortly after, I was listed one of the lucky entrepreneur on the FORBES Next 1,000 list. Today, I am one of the Founder of LA Vodka. An award winning premium vodka distilled from winter wheat in California. LA Vodka uses a special distillation process unique to the United States. Allowing you to taste the purest expression of Winter Wheat with an extremely smooth finish. I often refer to LA Vodka as the perfect vodka for martinis.I must say, I would not be here without the support and mentorship from my father at a very early age and my business partner Jeff Prescott. They both have taught me the fundamental principles of what an entrepreneur truly is.

After a soft launch in Los Angeles and San Diego, LA Vodka is expanding throughout the state along with opening up serval other states in the coming months.
