Meet Vera V. | Life Coach, Influencer & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Vera V. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vera, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have a vivid memory of telling my 5th grade best friend, “I want to be entrepreneur when I grow up.” English is my second language that I started learning in 4th grade, so I did not know what entrepreneurship truly entailed at the time. All I knew was that an entrepreneur is a person who worked for themselves.
I started my life coaching business because I have been passionate about self-improvement ever since I started my own self-improvement journey at 15 in the middle of quarantine. It was absolutely life-changing for me. I have also loved helping people ever since I can remember, and I knew I had a knack for guiding individuals towards reaching their goals. I am so grateful that I get to do what I love each and every single day.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Where I am right now in my career is a drastically different place than where I was 1 year ago. A year ago, I did not have a career. So if I told 2022 Vera, “you are a professional life coach that has guided 400+ clients worldwide, you have launched your Growing Together Club with hundreds of members…” She would be shocked. And scared. Very scared.
Point is: progress is gradual. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and metamorphosis does not happen overnight. That’s okay! Progress also would not be possible without play.
To the readers of L.A. Shoutout- whatever it is that you want to do, this is your sign to go for it. Yes, even if it seems crazy. And yes, even if you think you won’t be able to accomplish it. When you are in a community of like-minded, driven, and supportive individuals like in our club, you can do anything.
I believe in you.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friend was visiting, the first place I would take them would be to the Getty Museum- one of my favorite places ever. As many times as I’ve been, I would still have to be dragged out of there, otherwise I would literally spend the night.
Then, I would take my friend to Forma Restaurant & Cheese Bar in Santa Monica. I think about the pasta I had there daily…
Afterwards, we would probably drive down to the beach and take a long, long walk, talking about our goals and celebrating the progress we have made so far in reaching them.
Finally, we would definitely go and get some matcha.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to each and every member of my Growing Together Club- an online self-improvement club guided by me 🙂
I remember feeling extremely lonely growing up, I felt like there was not a single person in the world as interested in becoming the best version of themselves as I was. So when I started sharing my self-improvement lifestyle on my Instagram account, I was absolutely MIND-BLOWN that there were tens of thousands of other young people who felt the same.
This lack of like-minded individuals around me is what inspired me to start my Growing Together Club. We are an incredibly driven and supportive community of hundreds of individuals, united by our commitment in reaching our FULLEST potential. We are growing TOGETHER, always!
