We had the good fortune of connecting with Tori Boyan Mandee Givens and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tori Boyan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of our brand is that we have stayed consistent. Owning a small business comes with many challenges and rewards. We have learned that staying consistent has gotten us through our most challenging moments.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Atlas CrafTors was created in 2021 by Tori Boyan and Mandee Givens. in San Luis Obispo County, California. We met right after we graduated high school while working together at a local pizza place. We very quickly became friends and have stayed in touch ever since. Fast forward to 2019/2020, we were both selling our handmade items in separate Etsy shops. Tori was selling handmade clay jewelry and beadwork; Mandee was selling paintings and resin art. In 2021, we began sharing a booth at local pop up events together. We had so much fun that we decided to join forces and create Atlas CrafTors. Starting our business was difficult at first but we wotk very well together which has tremendously helped us along the way. During this journey, we have learned so much and have shared countless collaborations together. Recently, we created The Vendor Resource Center which is a tool for vendors to find out about upcoming markets. We can’t wait for the what the future holds for us!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We are located in San Luis Obispo so we did not complete this portion. We would love to share an itinerary though!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We have so many people to thank over our journey as small business owners. Our friends, family and the community have all been so supportive. We would like to give a shoutout to our friend at Renee Rose Photography. We met Renee when we were guests on her podcast Small Business Sips and we quickly became friends. Since meeting her, she has joined us and Bunny Buns Tarot in hosting Enchanted Art & Tarot events. Renee is also the reason that we were able to connect with Voyage LA and for that we are extremely grateful. We appreciate you Renee!
