We had the good fortune of connecting with Four Victoria and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Four, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
For me personally it’s never been a question, only because I know that if I give up I’m only gonna be letting myself down and there’s nothing else in my life that I would rather be doing then pursuing this dream. I feel like if I were to give up, I would just be giving up on my life, like there would be nothing more for me. It may be work but it’s not just a job this is what genuinely makes me happy. This is what keeps my brain moving, and what do I have to give up for? Why would I have come all this way, work this hard to just face obstacles that are going to come along any path and feel like I need to give up? I don’t want anybody to ever give up on what drives them. You’re doing what you’re supposed to be doing for a specific reason, there is only one you and the world needs what you have to offer.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work is always a reflection of me. I came to realize that I processed the world very differently from those around me, and initially I wasn’t able to see the value in that. When I finally recognized this aspect of myself as a gift is when things started making sense and I was able to actually grasp these dreams of mine. I’m extremely proud of my progress, I don’t say it enough but I’m impressed by my diligence; pursuing your passion is intense work. When I first started modeling and styling I had zero idea how to actually be doing those those things instead of just giving myself the title. After researching and watching way too many YouTube videos the most influential pieces of advice I took away are : Social media is a TOOL and shoot your shot! I’m more of reserved person so the thought of networking was always daunting, I quickly realized I would get nowhere fast and I needed to step out of my comfort zone. I followed tons of wardrobe stylists, photographers, models ,casting directors etc. to make sure I was in the loop. I kept my eye out for people looking for interns or assistants , any castings that I fit i submitted to, I reached out to people just to offer my services and I made sure to surround myself with likeminded people; word of mouth gets you far. We live in an age of instant gratification and I’ll admit in the beginning I really struggled with feeling like I wasn’t doing enough , like I wasn’t growing or seeing results fast enough and it was very discouraging. There have been so many opportunities to quit or make myself believe the things I wanted would always be so far and unattainable, but giving up would hurt way more than just seeing it through. I really had to learn the hard way that patience is key and rejection is divine protection. Trust. The. Process. My passion pushes me constantly ,against my will sometimes ; that’s what I want everyone to know about anything I make anything my name is on , it came straight from my heart – I work out of pure love.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I feel like I would be doing myself a disservice if I were to credit only one person or thing.I feel like there’s so many aspects so many people, so many relationships that have shaped me into who I am today that it would just be way too hard to name one thing. To the matriarchs of my family, to my friends, to all of the beautiful, creative people, I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing, to other creatives that have trusted me to work with their vision, to the beautiful state of California and most importantly to myself, thank you for always giving me the courage and inspiration the past two years have honestly been so thrilling and surreal to watch and live through, I genuinely would not be where I am without the support and love that I am always receiving
