We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Levert and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victoria, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Success is all about taking risks.

As a little girl, I always had this desire to be involved in several things at once. Involving myself in multiple activities often times had a risk of something not going as planned, but even as a child, I never shied away from that. I knew early on that the world was my oyster, and anything that I wanted to try, I could… regardless of if I would fail. As an adult, I have found that my fearless nature in risk taking has earned me many of the accomplishments that I have today.

I am an award winning journalist, television host, singer/songwriter, and model. The commonality between all of these professions is that they all require a hefty amount of risk taking. Anytime that you see a creative make the decision to not choose a “conventional career path,” understand that you are witnessing an individual place a huge bet on themselves.

Upon my graduation from Pace University with a B.A. in English, I took a huge risk on myself when I moved to Los Angeles to start my on-air hosting career. I had no friends, no family, and an on-air job that barely paid above minimum wage. The ultimate fear with making such a huge move was that I would not be successful, but the biggest fear for me at that time was not taking the risk and never knowing what my possibilities could look like.

So, here I am two years later… in Los Angeles with the pleasure of having worked for NBC News, CBS, BBC America, Erupt News, Respectmusic Tv, and many more!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a journalist, television host, singer/songwriter, and model. The thing that has always set me a part from my peers is my ability to tell and capture stories that people from all backgrounds can relate to or have interest in . Although many people know me from my journalistic and hosting career, I am really excited to make my musical debut with the release of my single, ‘ One of One,’ on March. 31st.

Professionally, I had to spend years networking with notable people in the music and entertainment industry to get to where I am today. Putting myself out there, attending events, walking up to random people that I recognized on the street, and letting them know why they should invest their time in my crafts has been the key to me: working for top media outlets, writing for major musical artists, and modeling for brands such as Playboy, Clarins Paris, and Victoria’s Secret.

Although the road has been far from easy, I have faced my fair share of rejections just like everyone else, I always believed that anything I wanted I could achieve. Ultimately, that is how I want to be remembered as the girl that never gave up and feared nothing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Los Angeles has hands down one of the best food scenes in the world!

To anyone visiting, I would highly recommend dining at : Ka’teen in Hollywood, Nic’s on Beverly, Ysabel, and Sam’s Bagels… ( thank me later).

And you have to take a night to go clubbing in WeHo and have a bacon wrapped street dog at 3 am right outside of the club. And for those of you that want to embrace nature, the Temescal Canyon Trail is one of the most beautiful hikes I have ever been on…and El Matador Beach will take your breath away.
