Hi Claudia, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
As a native of Basel, Switzerland, I have been fortunate to grow up in a city with a rich cultural heritage. Home to the world-renowned Art Basel fair, the city has long been a hub for artists and creatives from around the globe.

My mother’s involvement in the art business since I was 10 years old has had a significant impact on my upbringing and shaped my perspective on the world. Through her work, I have been exposed to a wide range of artistic styles and movements, and have learned to appreciate the value of creativity and self-expression.

Growing up in a multicultural city like Basel has also instilled in me a deep appreciation for diversity and inclusion. I have been fortunate to interact with people from all walks of life and have learned to embrace and celebrate our differences.

My background and upbringing have influenced my academic and career choices. I pursued a degree in marketing at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and decided in 2010 that Los Angeles would be a great place to open an art gallery specializing in affordable original art. My experiences have taught me the importance of perseverance, dedication, and hard work.

Overall, I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences that my background has afforded me. They have helped me become the person I am today – someone who values creativity, diversity, and hard work, and is committed to making a positive impact on the world.

What should our readers know about your business?
Starting an art gallery that specializes in affordable original art was a rewarding and challenging experience.

The goal is to exhibit and sell original art within everyone’s budget. While identifying trends and opportunities I chose a location that is easily accessible and visible. I spent a lot of time finding a diverse range of affordable original art from emerging and established artists. Developing close relationships with artists is very important for sourcing new artwork.

We also have a strong team that includes experienced and passionate members who share my vision and can provide excellent customer service. They are knowledgeable about the artwork and artists in our galleries. We engage with our clients and offer them a personalized experience. We keep them informed of new artwork and events.

It’s important to recognize that our success and where we are in life is not solely the result of our own efforts, but also thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love, and encouragement of others. I want to dedicate my shoutout to my grandmother, who was very supportive throughout my life, always encouraging me to pursue my passions and providing me with unwavering love and support. I also want to acknowledge my other family members, who have challenged and inspired me to grow both personally and professionally. Without their guidance and support, I would not be where I am today. Finally, I want to recognize the many non-profit organizations whose board positions helped me grow on my journey.
