We had the good fortune of connecting with Bruno Cunha and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bruno, how do you think about risk?
Well, I am a big risk-taker. I left everything I had in Brazil to come to the US. Great things require big moves. I think if I hadn’t done anything and stayed in my comfort zone, I wouldn’t have conquered the things I did.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a composer, music producer, and mixing engineer. Along my music journey, I’ve been learning new things and experimenting with different activities in music. I started as a performer. I played for many artists. Then, I created an interest in music production. I produced many artists, and I gathered more than 10M plays. Now I am exploring and learning about film scoring. I had scored a few short movies, nothing too big so far but I am loving it!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There is this cute little Italian place I love called Casa Bianca Pizza Pie. Great food, and a great place. Whenever I miss Brazilian food, I go to this other place called “Woodspoon” in Downtown LA. Also, a great environment, and the food is delicious!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
So many people also deserve credit for my journey. Chris Kapica is one of my favorite musicians ever, and I am so grateful I got to be friends with him. He is the main reason why I am back in Los Angeles. Kris Yi is an awesome psychologist, and an incredible lady I got to meet.
