We had the good fortune of connecting with Meagan + Rohan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Meagan and Rohan, what role has risk played in your life or career?
We are not risk-averse at all. What it means to us is opportunity. We’ve purposely spent time experimenting and taking as many risks as possible when it came to outreach and partnerships Not every risk led to a fruitful opportunity but the risks that did… Well worth it for what we’re trying to accomplish. We’ve been able to meet people and foster relationships we otherwise would have never gotten the chance. In our opinion, taking calculated risks can be beneficial as it enabled us to explore new opportunities and push ourselves outside of our comfort zone.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are the host of the largest multi-city pitch tour for black tech founders called RoadPitch. We curate pitch demos throughout the country to get black tech founders in the room with investors. Our next tour is traveling to the west coast this summer for the week of Juneteenth. We will be making stops in Seattle, Oakland, San Francisco, Palo ‘Alto, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. As you can imagine curating 18 pitch demos in 6 days in 6 different cities is no easy feat. But, we love what we do and we’ve been able to overcome challenges by pushing each other, being scrappy, and being persistent with our goals.
