We had the good fortune of connecting with Devin Reed and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a Sommelier/Wine Expert who works with La Fête Rose, which is the only minority-owned Rosé in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez in the South of France. I produce my own wine content via my show, Wine & Culture LA, and am lucky to work with some really notable people in the wine & entertainment space. I’ve studied wine at several different wine academies and have a history of running high-level wine operations in LA & Beverly Hills.

It all started with a passion and a curiosity to learn about wine. There were about a thousand hurdles but I don’t give a damn about hurdles. There will be another one tomorrow that I have to jump over. Through belief in myself, other’s belief in me, faith, passion, and a lot of hard work, I got to where I am today, and so can everyone else.

The entire Wine & Culture LA movement is about us all enjoying wine together! Pull up a seat and let’s have a glass!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
LA’s social & food scene is nuts. The food trucks are to die for and there’s every iconic corner of the city that has something that you’ve seen in a movie. If you really want to get the whole LA experience, you can wake up in Big Bear and get an early snowboard session in, then skate back down to LA and catch a sunset on the beach in the same day. For me, I’d start near the water, Venice, Marina del Rey or Santa Monica, drive down Ocean Drive to catch the full LA vibe and then stop at Meat on Ocean in Santa Monica to pig out and bring a bottle of wine. At night there’s all kinds of trouble to get into, so you name it. In my view, anytime good food, good people, good wine, and good vibes are involved, there’s nothing else needed.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wanna dedicate this to my grandmother, who was my north star, my reason why. She gave me the framework to be a good person. She taught me how to treat people. And even though she’s not here anymore, I still do things to make her proud and I’m happy knowing that I’ve already made her proud.
