We had the good fortune of connecting with Ms. Wy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Was it easy …was a question that immediately stood out to me. NOTHING IS EASY….and if it is, is it even worth having?

The creative thoughts are natural. My mind, my soul, and my experiences create them. Now getting it done is where life gon’ run you down. Being a creative takes time and MONEY. And people love to forget that it takes OTHER creatives. The job doesn’t get done without a solid team. a team of people that work hard and can see the vision as clear as you do.

I’m big on “No Crusty or Dusty” so everything I do, I do it big. I need a stylist, a makeup artist, a photographer, a videographer etc. and getting everyones schedules together is only half the battle; but in the end its always worth it.

I call my projects WyNOT Productions. Thats my brand, anything I do is under my ‘WyNOT” phrase. the name says it all.. Wy Not:
Put Your All In
Take A Leap of Faith
Be Better Than Yesterday
Enjoy Every Moment of Life

You get the point .

I always knew I would be a creative. There was never a plan B. Only A, A1, A2 etc. Creation lives in me and I see the joy that my work brings to people. Every video I drop every class I teach shows me creation choose me. Here I was thinking I was in charge of my choices and this path was already chosen for me.

Juggling the task of a choreographer, dance teacher, dancer, activity specialist, actor, model , creative director can become extremely over whelming physically but most importantly mentally. I had to learn to slow my brain down, I would be in the middle of one project thinking about the next, And that is no good. i have to constantly tell myself ‘one foot in front the other, one day at a time.’

The one thing I’ve learned in this business is to take my time and worry about my own damn vision. Its’ so easy to get lost in the thought of ” I’m moving too slow” “I’m not doing enough’ or “what the people gon’ think?” And you quickly learn that none of that matters, move at your own pace, let those thoughts marinate and as far as the people go….. *roll eyes*

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Truth be told I may have to get on that Google or phone a friend because I do not know. Lately when its time for me to go out its because I’ve either been invited or i’m working. My fun consist of game nights in the crib or just literally chilling with my love ones.

Now if I had to figure some things out we definitely are going to eat. Thai, Caribbean, Mexican, Seafood and Acai Bowls will. be on the menu.

I don’t drink but I have no problem going to bars, clubs and lounges, There was actually. a time I would club Thursday through Sunday. Rest on Monday hit a spot on Tuesday, Wednesdays were always a blur and back at it Thursday to do it all over again. i would party so hard my sober self would wake up with hangovers!

Whatever we do decide to do its gonna be fun. If I know how to do anything, it’s entertaining a person. Ask around, they’ll love it here.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would be here all day, arthritis in my hands if I were to sit here and list the names of the people who have contributed to Ms. Wynizzle Foshizzle!

I’m a village baby. Meaning there’ were so many people around me that understood the importance of “pour into, and watch it grow”

I come from what I would believe to be a big family. And they’ve always supported me. My mother worked so hard to make sure I was in the right places with the right people.

I started a program in my childhood called 1City ran by the amazing Dr. Rev. Leisa Williams. This woman ran this program by Faith and experience in life. Me a preteen going into my teenage years learning key important things like looking somebody in the eyes while shaking their hand, that you never get a second chance at a first impression and always be prepared because you never know when an opportunity will present itself. The program was more than us just dancing and making up routines (even though we ran our activities) it taught me life lessons that I will never forget. These lessons have bought me this far.

Later on in life the universe aligned some stars and Mr.Kelly Peters owner of Brickhouse NYC (an urban dance studio) walked into my life and it’s been a roller coaster ever since. my life completely changed. We met as I turned 22 and here I am weeks away from 30 and he has become more than a mentor, he is family.

I believe in a village. Villages are a blessing. i was able to learn from so many people. I was loved a molded by people who actually cared and that type of support is priceless.

Theres a quote that says “The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to fill its warmth”. cues Killmonger!
