Meet Abi Wheeler | Self-made Businesswoman

We had the good fortune of connecting with Abi Wheeler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Abi, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from the middle of nowhere Mississippi. I do believe my simple / sheltered early life shaped the way for the old, reserved little gal to break out of her shell while keeping an integral humble demeanor

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve been modeling and working with those having developmental disabilities for about 10+ years now— introduced through my love of being an ambassador for vibrant boutique clothes and working with children. I’ve been marketing for 5, starting from a local foodiegram hobby and made my way into farmers / artisans / flea markets. Love my creative little local fams. My grand(mother) instilled a love for all things kitchen and cooking, also plants. Learning to leave everything that I knew behind to chase bigger dreams was tough because you are your biggest competitor. You’re also your greatest ally when stable. Learning to do it all takes time, years even. The magic truly happened in the journey and not in achieving various outcomes.
I’m a naturally redheaded, petite model who continuously inserts herself into life endeavors to do the most and break silly standards. It was disappointing to know that creative fashion directors are not so much in favor of tiny women roller skating on a runway, but hey, life is short— I’ve seen it happen and hope to continue to show everyone that we can truly do it all.
I hope to be able to expand upon every endeavor and continue to spread passion!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
PWC HIGHWAY ROAD-TRIP CATCH (2)
AYCE KBBQ
SKATE PARKS
BEACH BUMS
FLOWER FIELDS
NATIONAL FORESTS
MOUNTAIN RESORTS

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Of course I have to personally try to thank everyone who has been patient with my progress, all affiliate staff and inspirational beans who have helped me along the way: though few and far, y’all know who you are!
