Decision Makers Series: avoiding decision fatigue by adopting effective habits


There’s a ton of research around how setting habits can help us conserve energy because it reduces the number of decisions we have to make in a day. However, not all habits are created equal and so we’ve asked our community to tell us about the habits they have been most effective for them.

Being self employed sometimes you can get lost in marking your progress or not give yourself credit for the progress you’ve made. Having a flexible routine and a list of goals every 3 months helps to keep my styling business moving forward each year. No matter how busy I am everyday I create time to do 2 hours of client outreach and 2 hours of follow up every other day. The routine keeps the months booked and provides exposure to more opportunities for new clients. Read more>>

Persistence and determination. If nothing else, to accompany whatever God-given gifts I’m blessed to have, I have always been persistent, in perusing success, and determined to succeed. Read more>>

There are several habits that I use to in order to succeed. Here are a few important ones: Goal Setting: I set specific, actionable goals and work towards achieving them. I have a clear vision of what I want to accomplish and I create a plan to get there. Persistence: I don’t give up easily; I stay committed to my goals and I push through my obstacle with cerebral palsy and mental illnesses. Read more>>
