Meet Alex Yeske | Interior Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Yeske and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alex, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
After working for over a decade in the fashion industry, I wanted to do more meaningful work. I had always been drawn to interior design and I loved that you could create spaces that were long lasting and had an impact on people’s lives. I interned and worked for other designers and knew I wanted to have my own firm.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Alex Yeske Interiors is a high end residential interior design firm based in Los Angeles, California with projects from coast to coast. We specialize in full-service design where we handle everything for our clients—from idea to installation. We are known for designing warm and timeless spaces—creating interiors you’ll love for years and years. Our interiors are thoughtful and edited, while always remaining comfortable and functional—all of our spaces are meant to be lived in with ease. We mix antiques with contemporary pieces and combine them with layers of highly curated fabrics and textiles. Our interiors are centered around our clients, their values and lifestyles, resulting in a unique design every time.
I’m incredibly proud of starting this business on my own and the relatively quick success I have found. Starting a business is not without its challenges, however having friends in the same industry has been immeasurably helpful. I highly recommend seeking out a support system that can help guide you through the inevitable challenges you’ll face.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Pizzana
An estate sale or flea market – Handled Estate Sales, Long Beach Flea
Drinks on the rooftop of Santa Monica Proper Hotel
Mandeville Canyon hike
Eames House Tour
Malibu beach
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to Becky Nielsen of Becky Nielsen Interiors. She been an incredible mentor to me as I grow my business, and also a dear friend.
