Meet Priscilla Allen | Certified Health and Wellness Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Priscilla Allen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Priscilla, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I decided to start my own business, I wasnt dreaming big. I originally intended to create a small income so that I didnt have to go back to the corporate world and I could be a fully present mom to my newborn. As I started seeing the impact and the lives that were changing because of the business I started, my vision and my purpose got bigger. I realized that bringing value to people was one of the most rewarding experiences of my business. So my dreams for how big i wanted to go with my business grew as well.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Every single day I wake up honored and grateful that I get to be a small part of the change in the lives of individuals looking to create health in several aspects of their lives. We help people wanting to create healthy habits for lifelong transformation create self awareness and develop emotional intelligence so that they can become the dominant force in their lives. As a health coach I partner with individuals on this personal journey and help them create wins in their lives to solidify their goals and outcome. As a business and mentor coach I help my coaching team develop the skills needed to go and inspire people with their own journey, create tangible daily action steps for their own growth as well.
I think what I am most proud about is seeing the mental development of my clients and coaching team unfold before my eyes. There is so much power when we are able to create breakthroughs in our minds because the mind leads everything else. So when my clients and coaching partners begin to experience breakthroughs, aha moments, and mental shifts, WOW, just WOW it is the best feeling in the world. This unlocks their potential and I am here it!
When I decided I wanted to take my business to the next level, I knew I was going to have to lean into that decision hard. You see, I was taught by my coach that decision making is the FIRST step to achieving what we want. then we develop a process and a system that helps us get there. I realized that I had to throw my emotions outside the window when it came to the decision. So come what may- hell or high water- I made a commitment to myself and my team that I would level up and do the hard work and the heart work that needed to take place in order to bring more value and then the growth would follow. Being a wife, a mama of 4, and building the business of my dreams has NOT been easy! there have been so many tears, mom guilt, uncomfortable moments but all at the same time, it has been rewarding, fulfilling and absolutely worth it.
One of the things I had to get comfortable with when I began to grow was asking for help- with my kids, with the business and with household chores. I began delegating things in my business and personal life. Doing this helped me create space and time for me – to work on the things I had to do that would help me grow as a health coach and a business leader.
One thing I want people to know about me is that I have a huge heart for people. I absolutely love seeing people win in their lives and this is what propels me to continue sharing my story and my mission.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When we have friends come over from other states, we love to show them the iconic and amazing spots here in So. Cal! We will take them through Hollywood, downtown Los Angeles, and other amazing landmarks. One of my favorite places we introduce them to is Santa Monica, Ca. From the weather, to the beach, the promenade and the restaurants, it makes the experience so much fun for them. If they love physical activities I introduce them to some our hiking trails in my area, such as Eaton Canyon or the Claremont Loop (because I live around this specific area). Eaton Canyon has cool waterfalls and Claremont Loop has a gorgeous scenic view.
Another one of my favorite things to do is to take them to hole in the wall restaurants you can’t find anywhere else. Perch in Los Angeles has great ambience with a view of the city, live music and good food. This is one of my favorite locations as it is in the heart of Los Angeles. Another of my FAVORITE spots is Alcove in Los Feliz. This Cafe has some of the best burgers and salads in town.If we are intentional about taking people to this restaurant, we also try to make it to the Griffith Observatory which is only a couple of miles up the mountain. This is a pretty cool planetarium and astronomy museum with a huge telescope to observe the starts and in certain nights other planets.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my husband for supporting my dreams every step of the way. His spousal support has been invaluable for my personal growth and that of my business as well.
I also must acknowledge my mentor coach Jamil Frazier as well! He has inspired me with his own entrepreneurial journey and believed in me when I didn’t believe in my self, transferred business and leadership skills to me and has helped me build the business of my dreams.
