Hi Quynh, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Here are my top 3 habits to help me succeed.

I always set goals, I break down my goals into smaller, actionable steps and regularly monitor their progress to see what I need to do to achieve my goals.

Discipline and consistency are important to achieving success. I set a routine and stick to it, even when I am faced with obstacles or distractions. I still try to prioritize my tasks, and manage my time to stay focused on my goals.

I never stop learning, to me knowledge is the key to your success. If there’s an opportunity to expand my skills, stay updated with my industry trends, and adapt to new techniques I would never let it go.

As the founder and owner of Gem Beauti Studio & Academy, I am a master artist and instructor who specializes in the fields of Cosmetic Tattoos, Color Correction, and Removal. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of studying from the top experts in this industry from around the globe, acquiring a total of 23 certifications in the cosmetic tattoo industry as of 2023. With a wealth of experience, having successfully completed over 3000 procedures, my goal is to utilize my mastery of skills and advanced cosmetic tattoo techniques to accentuate the innate beauty of women, instilling them with a profound sense of confidence. Furthermore, I am dedicated to empowering aspiring individuals to embark on their own entrepreneurial journeys and establish flexible schedules by venturing into the realm of the permanent makeup industry.

In 2017, while managing an online clothing store focused on buying and reselling, I embarked on my first PMU (Permanent Makeup) course. Initially considering it as a side hustle for additional income, I approached the opportunity with a mixture of excitement and trepidation, as I had never identified myself as artistically inclined. Regardless, I enrolled in the course and pressed forward with determination. The concept of enhancing women’s natural beauty and granting them the convenience of effortlessly navigating their daily routines resonated deeply with me.

Throughout my journey, I have remained committed to continuous learning, dedicating substantial time to practice and refine my craft. Amidst various relocations, progressing from sharing a room with a colleague to ultimately securing a personal space, I recognized the challenges I faced in establishing a clientele. In 2021, during the adversities brought about by the pandemic, I made the decision to expand Gem Beauti, providing my students with a platform to work once they completed their training. This initiative aimed to offer them the opportunity to embark on their own journeys, recognizing the difficulties I encountered in the past. I take immense pride in the fact that I now own and operate my own Studio & Academy in Orange County, boasting five rooms and a team of two individuals who work under my guidance.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was planning a week-long trip of visiting the area we would definitely let them enjoy all the beaches and the beautiful weather here in SoCal.

For drinks I like Topside Roof Deck in Newport Beach, it is located on the rooftop of the Lido House Hotel, and they provide breathtaking views of Newport Beach.

The Bungalow If you’re looking for a trendy bar with a laid-back beach vibe, The Bungalow is a great choice. It features a cozy indoor space and a spacious outdoor patio with fire pits. Enjoy craft cocktails, tasty bites, and ocean views. There’s also Tanner’s rooftop bar in Newport Beach that has good views and vibes.

For brunch, I like Joey in Newport Beach or Nep cafe in Fountain Valley. They are offering delicious meals to start the day off right.

For dinner, I would definitely take them to Nobu Newport Beach, it is an upscale Japanese restaurant that offers a stunning oceanfront setting and serves exquisite sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes. Or Mastro steak house for steak and Water Grill for seafood, located in Costa Mesa.

Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, along with hotels, dining, and entertainment options are what everyone must visit when they’re in Orange County.

And we would definitely go LA to visit Universal Studios Hollywood A famous film studio and theme park, Universal Studios offers behind-the-scenes tours, thrilling rides, and live shows. It’s a must-visit for movie fans.

Santa Monica Pier is a beachfront attraction features a classic amusement park with a Ferris wheel, roller coaster, and games. You can also enjoy the sandy beach and the lively atmosphere.

There’s also Rodeo Drive: Located in Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive is renowned for its luxury shopping. It’s a great place to indulge in high-end fashion, jewelry, and designer goods.
